and it looks great holding my red front door
Most humorous doorstop on Amazon, and it looks great holding my red front door, BUT it is not very heavy. Since the description states that it is "cast iron," I was expecting much more weight to it. We have an old splitting wedge that is much more effective as a true door stop. This jus keeps the door maybe midway where I want it (even on hardwood), but it's not going to keep it form moving in a strong breeze. It's mostly decorative, partially effective.Still, it's fun, and "good enough" for our needs.

Will not work without carpet
While the aesthetics of the design are great, there is nothing on the bottom that will keep it from sliding on a smooth surface. To make it hold the door on my tile floor, I bought a heavy duty rubber wedge for $2 shaved off the top and glued it inside of the base. If it didn't have a hollow bottom it would have been much easier to make it none-slip. If the design would have included something to make it non-slip on floors it would have earned a 5.Some of the edges of the doorstop are very sharp, enough to cut my finger when I lifted it, and needed to be filed down. OK quality, not superior.

Texture might scrape your door
It's a poorly-cast item, which is rough, and mine has a white line on it where it scraped paint off the door. It's not high art. But it is cute, and it does what I want. It's got an odd angle, I think that one continuous angle would be better for doors than just having a steep slope and a thin base. I use it to hold a door-sized plantation shutter closed, on carpet, which it does. I wouldn't expect a lot, but it is a cute little addition to my home.

Cute design, works under the right circumstances
After I had ordered this, I saw some of the reviews saying the stopper doesn’t actually keep the door in place. The room I’m using this in has very little space between the carpet and the bottom of the door, and the door is not heavy, so the stopper does work for me. It came with a textured rubber piece that can be applied to the bottom for better traction. I’m guessing that’s a recent addition, but I didn’t need it. I use this to keep a closet door slightly ajar, as it’s the closet where my cats eat and do their business. (I need to make sure the closet door doesn’t shut *or* open all the way. The fact that this stopper is designed to look like a cat crawling out from under the door is particularly fitting in my situation. It’s cute, and it does work in certain scenarios.

Cute but light duty
I bought this to basically keep the door to my basement cracked open for the cats but to also keep my dog from going into the basement and munching in the cat box. It is cute and everyone seems to notice it when they come over. It is lightweight so it won't hold a heavy door. It comes with a rubber pad that you need to apply to the bottom. The bottom is hollow so the rubber pad sticks to the outer edges of the bottom, pretty cheap. The hands on the man are rough so it has chewed up the paint a little on my door. The door needs to be repainted anyway so I suggest adding some bumpers to it to avoid damage to the door. It is a temp fix for me at this point until I figure out something better.

Decorative Mini Door Stoppers
Decorative doorstop, paw approved by my cat, however, a little on the lightweight size and easy for his 8lb body to move. The purpose of purchasing them was to prevent him from getting behind door(s). However, if you have no pets, this is an adorable stopper.

Beautiful door stop
We have three cats and their litter boxes are in the garage. The door to our pantry and garage need to be opened just enough for the cats to get through but not enough for all the hot air to come into the house from the garage. This door stop is PERFECT and probably one of the very BEST things I've ever ordered from Amazon....and that says a lot.

Fun doorstop but doesn't work well
I bought this because I liked the look of it and thought it would be fun... which it is. However it doesn't work very well. The arms of the man are a bit too long and so it has to be positioned just right to actually hold the door. Otherwise the door just slides closed because the wedge doesn't fit far enough underneath- because the guys arms are too long. I'll keep it because it's more trouble to send it back but I'm not thrilled with this purchase.
