Just like the original.

I received the car charger from Amazon on time and immediately put it to work.I used the charger to charge my Jackery Explorer 300 and the charger worked as advertised. I averaged approximately 75 watts of steady charge from the cigarette lighter plug in my vehicle. This would equate to about 6 amps of current. The wire used in the construction of this charger seemed to be more than adequate for the 6 amps and never got hot. I do find in most cigarette plug chargers, however, that the plugs themselves do get very warm and this charger plug was no different. The metal plug tip was VERY hot after removal. This charger did not include any accessories like spare fuses or adapters. In my case, I have several Jackery models and the plug on this charger will only charge the original Jackery size plug like the 240, 290, 300 etc. The newer and bigger Jackery models like the new Jackery 1000 V2 have gone to a new plug very close in size to the original Jackery like my Explorer 300 except they now require a larger diameter center contact in them so the two are not compatible. To charge the newer and larger units, an adapter would be required also sold on Amazon. The adapter you might need is called a DC7909 to DC8020 adapter. This adapter solves this and this charger would then be able to charge both original size and new size type plugs used in both chargers and solar panels!

The heft and look of this charging cable, when held side-by-side to the one that came with my Jackery 500, is not quite as heavy duty, but it's close. More importantly, when I plug it in, after 30 minutes, it's not overly warm.I'll be keeping this as a spare in my travel case, so that will be one less box to check when I'm packing.
