Line lay on reel isn’t even on both combos
Purchased 2. Nice rods, reels not so much. One handle already has broken(cheap) a week later and the line lay is terrible. No matter how you shim it with provided shims, the line lays more to the bottom, even with one shim, and with both provided shims it lays like this- ) (

Great Rod, Questionable Reel
The reel didn’t operate correctly when I first got it. I never even put line on it because the reel wasn’t winding smoothly.The reason this isn’t a one star review is because the rod was incredible. It is attractive and looks to be very well built. At $43 for the combo, the rod alone was probably worth $40.So I sent the rod & reel back and I’m waiting on my replacement. It’s taking longer than expected.Separate note, I have an old Blue Runner combo that I bought at KMart in 2002. That thing was built to last and survived many rough fishing trips. That’s what lead me to make this purchase.

Cheap design of pole , not a good buy
The reel was in good shape , but the pole was horrible, I had to use electrical tape to tape the two peices together , due to the upper half of pole does not fit right into lower half of pole, I've been fishing my whole life and never even seen a pole that slides around when put together , super unhappy with pole , but don't want to deal with the shipping it back process , need a pole asap so I chose to improvise, wouldn't recommend this pole period..

El equipo que me enviaron al parecer ya había sido devuelto antes. La caña no tenía las etiquetas ni los protectores de plástico y presentaba varios daños, por otro lado la manija del carrete estaba quebrada. Yo ya había pedido otro equipo similar de la misma marca, con el que estoy muy satisfecho, pero con este tuve una experiencia muy decepcionante. Tomen este reseña como si fuera del servicio que recibí, porque el equipo creo que no voy a poder probarlo adecuadamente.
