Voatsiperifery Pepper - Wild Jungle Pepper from Madagascar - Poivre Sauvage 2 ounce

I discovered this pepper while attending a holiday cocktail party and ordered it the very next day. It has such a complex and interesting flavor and scent. Most of my life I have thought of pepper more as a “visual” aspect of foods, always adding it to things for the look of it more than the taste of it. This pepper has changed all that. I’m hooked!

This pepper has a really aromatic flavor that reminds me of berries and some depth which I can only describe as "spice". Unlike the majority of spices out there this has such a unique flavor and aroma that I love it as the only spice on food, maybe accompanied by salt.I don't "waste" this pepper in curry dishes, I like to have it stand out as a main flavor to a dish like: steamed veggies, pastas, fish, chicken, roasted vegetables. I could go on, but time, and time again, I return to this brand of pepper for its uniqueness.

great gift for the chef in your life. really delicious pepper. It is quite soft so finding the perfect grinder for it is tricky

Day and night if compared to standard pre-ground pepper.Makes the difference on meat and pasta.Buy a good quality grinder, and grind just before use.

an unusual pepper that i use whole/ not crushed/ on salads and over fried eggs..a bit expensive but adds a nice touch i keep all my peppers refrigerated....

Amazing pepper. Very small peppercorns with stems still attached. Very wild pepper taste with a hint of citrus at the end. Nice consistent heat but not overpowering.

This is a divine product! What a treasure. What a wonderful spice.
