The best bumper protector for my 2019 CX-5!
This is so well made that it looks like a Mazda genuine molding. It is made from quality materials and fits absolutely perfectly. It took 5 minutes to install and clears my 2019 CX-5 with electric tailgate actuator. Looks fantastic. Buy it!March 2, 2020 Update: This has now been on the car for over one year and looks as good as the day I installed it. It has seen blistering heat and searing cold and has been living outdoors (no garage.) Others have mentioned some issues, none of which affects mine. It is VERY important to place this item onto the bumper perfectly centered before allowing double sided tape to touch bumper so there is no gap on either side.

2017+ CX-5 Rear bumper scuff guard fits like a glove!
What a pleasure it was to find a product that was actually molded to fit my 2017 CX-5 GT. I ordered another bumper guard that was advertised for 2012 to 2017 CX-5 and had to return it because it was not shaped for the car I bought. I dry fitted this guard in place to make sure that it did not interfere with the lift gate. It drapes over the edge of the bumper so the entire top surface and the corner of the bumper is protected. The ends even curve up to align perfectly with the bumper. Easy to align and to install. One hint because there were no instructions... after you remove the 3M backing, make sure you position and push the front edge of the bumper guard into the corner, where the bumper and the car body meets, before you press it down into place. I didn't do that and had to frantically and carefully muscle it off to realign it.

Looks great.
Looks great and will provide better protection then comparable Mazda part at the bumper lip because this one goes around the bumper lip and the Mazda part does not.One issue, my cover is not curved quite enough, one end does not quite butt up to bumper so a very small gap at one end. I don't consider this a big deal as it is not detectable. To keep water out (where no double tape applied) I sealed the cover ends with clear RTV sealant.

OK, but not flawless
The part fit ok throughout the center portion, but it wasn't shaped perfectly to the bumper, and sticks out a bit on each end. The worst part is the chrome-look mylar insert. Mine was so off-line where the 2 pieces meet, that I had to pull one off, and glue it back down while aligning it with the other side. I see it looking bad within 2 or 3 yrs in the sun. Should have made the entire thing just black plastic. With that being said, it will do it's job, which is protecting the top of the bumper skin

Perfect fit
I have to say this looks great on the car. It was easy to install and fits well. I had read reveiws about other ones like this jamming the lift gate but not this one. I have a 2017 CX-5 with the electric lift gate and it clears just fine.

Fits perfectly on my 2018 Mazda CX-5 Touring with the power rear hatch. Looks great and provides protection from my Golden Retrievers nails while she climbs in and out.

Good Alternative to the Factory Made Option
Good product and will definitely help the back lip of the new car hold up better. But it's obvious when you look closely it's not the factory made one. The cut out of the CX-5 is a little off. Not enough to notice from a foot away but if you look close you can tell. Overall a good alternative to the me expensive factory one.
