Only wearable over clothing
In spring or autumn (when wearing trousers and a jacket), these are adequate. In summer, they are unwearable: the shoddy stitching and the scratchy edge of the velcro rests directly against the back of the knee / inside elbow. Wear with a t-shirt or shorts and you'll have painful blisters within minutes.
