A very nice keypad with a few issues
Mistel obviously intended this keyboard as an accessory to their MD600 split 60% keyboard set. Because of this there are a few features like key reassignment and macro abilities that are not available as a stand alone unit. I was aware of this when I purchased.First impressions of this keyboard are incredible. It has a very nice and substantial weight. The key caps are double shot PBT/POM with very legible fonts. Although I'm not a fan of RGB lighting, if offers a nice array of effects and adjustments. The key play is what you would expect from using genuine Cherry MX switches, I choose the MX Silent Reds for my unit. The stabilizers on the "+" key and the "ENTER" key are terrible. They are Cherry style stabilizers. The stabilizers are mounted extremely loosely into the back plate. Because of this they rattle quite loudly and make those two keys very loud and cheap feeling. In function the keyboard is good, but offers a few design decisions that some may not appeal to all. The first glaring example, and I do emphasize "glaring", is the "NUM LOCK" key. The LED for that key is independent from the RGB settings when lock is turned on, and is very bright. The instead of a single "ZERO", it has been split into a "0" and a "00". Abet, I believe they chose this for good reasons, it may put some people off that are used to a more traditional layout. Related to this is the keyboard is in navigational mode (NUM = off). Mistel chose to place the cursor keys in a inverted "T" layout instead of the traditional cross layout. This is actually quite nice and a bit more ergonomic. The keys "4" thru "9" are assigned to the rest of the classic navigation set (INS, DEL, HOME, END, PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN) however they are not labeled on the key caps. A bit more surprising is that the "/ * and -" keys are assigned to "PRINT SCREEN, SCROLL LOCK, and PAUSE". These are also unlabeled. I was a bit disappointed in the functionality of the top row of keys. In stand alone mode (without the MD600 unit), the "MUTE" key does not function. This becomes permanently assigned to as a "Fn" key. I view this as an necessary compromise and I deduct no points for this. I do have issues with the other three keys. Mistel has choose "VOL DOWN" "VOL UP" and "CALC" as the native function for these keys. "TAB" "BACKSPACE" and "=" must be used in concert with the "Fn" key. This is unfortunate, as with entering numbers those keys are far more useful than the volume controls. Also more than once I have found myself entering numbers in Calculator instead of my spreadsheet. My major compliant has to do with the quality of the cables provided with the unit. While they look nice and are extremely stiff and unyielding. The "type A" to "mini B" cable will not lay flat. As I type there is a 28" section of the cable that hovers up to 4" inches above the desk surface. Although I do not use the coiled cable for connection to the MD600, I believe I would be unhappy with it as well. It too is stiff and honestly rather short forcing you to use the two keyboards close to each other. I would think a major point of having the three section keyboard set is to give you options in arrange them upon the desk, instead of forcing you to basically arrange them into the standard full size keyboard. On a side note, the orange acrylic section of the case my be off putting to some people. A more neutral clear or white frosted would have had broader appeal.Pros: Over all build quality Genuine German Cherry MX switches Double shot PBT/POM key caps Nice RGB lighting effects.Cons The sloppy stabilizer mounting Top row of keys has poor functionality Poor quality cables provided. The Others The orange acrylic is a polarizing design choice Lack of programmable features do to Mistel viewing this as an accessory and not a product unto itself.Do not get me wrong, this is a very nice keyboard which I will be keeping. I have been harsh because Mistel charges a premium price for this product. It can become very hard to accept the flaws of this product when there are cheap num pads, with very good reputations, to be had for a third the cost.

The best numpad, even if you don't own a Mistel MD600 keyboard, pediod
Update 20180613: I'm happy to share with you that the issue with too fast repetition of the "00" key has been solved after updating to firmware 1.01.2 from 1.01.0. This is the advantage of buying products from a brand company. Thank you Mistel!===It has the most comprehensive features list of all currently available numpads: built like a tank with Aluminum casing, reliable for peace of mind with the used of MX Cherry switches and Cherry-type stabilizer for the 2x keys, long-life PBT double-shot (nice font type used) key caps with excellent typing touch & sound, fun-loving RGB back light with on-board controller so there's no need to install software on the computer. The amber colored ring is controversial but it looks fine for me. Also deviation from the ANSI layout by splitting the "0" key into "00" is not a must but might be useful for accountant work. Also reorganized arrows keys is something odd at first but you get used to it quickly since the layout is similar the arrows/Ins/Del/PgUp/PgDn columns left of the tenkey block on a regular full-size 108-keyboard. It's a smart choice of Mistel.Still there's one thing I don't like: the LED brightness of the Numlock key is independent from the rest of the brightness adjustment so it's quite a glare in a dark room. Also the "00" key does not have the same delay (much shorter) before key is repeated when hold down like other keys is a bit disturbing.

Does NOT save macros
It is a great product but the description should point out that macros only work when paired with a MD600, the MD200 has flash memory but will not store macros. This kinda sucks as I wanted to switch some keys around on this bad boy. I may need to send it back now as the whole point was to have a macro board to use with my laptop while I was in the field

High Quality RGB Mechanical Numpad
I bought this to go with my Mistel Barocco RGB keyboard and it works great. The RGB effects on the numpad synchronize with the Barocco and the keys can be assigned macros (in the 3 programmable layers of the Barocco). The numpad can also be used by itself. It's also pretty sturdy with its metal base and does not move around due to its rubber feet.

pretty neat
everything was perfect other than the fact that rgb is confusing, and messed up a bit, press red goes blue, press blue goes green press green goes blue, as well with the key caps being a tiny bit slippery

Macintosh user
