Great tent with lots of headroom and ventilation
Bought to replace the same tent, which finally died after 3 years of heavy (twice a week, April-September). It's not an instant up design; it takes about 5 minutes to set up. I like that there's lots of headroom and the mesh panels on the sides and back allow good airflow so it doesn't get stuffy. The poles are heavy duty and can stand up to a fair amount of wind if you use the guy lines. My only complaints are that the stakes included are pretty much worthless (I bought cheap plastic camping ones for a few bucks that hold better in the sand) and as with every other tent I've owned it's really hard to get everything back into the carrying case after you open it. Also, I like that this tent doesn't have a floor (I like the sand, plus you're not trying to get all the trapped sand out), but it seems that most people prefer having a floor.

Nice shade
This shade/tent is very lightweight but held up extremely well during our week at the beach. There were a couple of high winds days but with the sand bags and stakes the tent really never had us worried. One person can set up the tent but it’s just so much easier with two. It was larger than I expected, I would say a family of 5 could easily shade at once. It seems well made but I really can’t be sure how long it will last since we only used it a week, but there were no real signs of failure during that time.Great tent at a great price - we are pleased with the purchase

A good tent
This tent is pretty good, however it looked bigger in pictures than it does once you set it up. And it comes out of the ground very easily as the stakes don’t stay in that well. It was also kinda hard to put together as I received no instructions in the package. Other than that, it does it’s job

Save Your Money
Waited for this to use as a shelter while in the garden. Both my husband & I were unable to decipher or put together this behemoth. It is LARGE but so lightweight that it could never withstand winds. We've constructed many complicated structures before but the rods are two in number: they are all connected into two long unstable & feathery pieces. The instructions from hell show next to nothing & we are not campers who regularly put this type of shelter together. I'll find another use for the heap of light plastic that results. This is yet another example of an import with cheap materials, a child-like drawing for instructions, &, even if built, flimsy plastic that would need more than sand in its pockets to hold this thing in place on a New England beach. It was billowing out even in my huge garden. I'm rarely disappointed by an Amazon product; this, however, is useless. There are so many others from which to choose; save your money & check around before you make a quick decision.

Happy Beach camper
We love this tent! We bought it for our trip to TopSail Island and it didn’t disappoint. It is light weight, small in stature to pack and provides relief from the sun all day. We were able to pack 4 beach chairs in it and still had space for the kids to dig in sand while in shade. It was such a good price as well. Others were over 80$ which isn’t in our budget for just one beach week vacation a year. Easy to put up and take down as well. Definitely worth it and will buy again!

Very hard to put up
Put it up first in the living room to see how big it was and how easy to put together, nice and big, can sit. 3 camp chairs in it easily. Big problem, trying to put it up on the beach, took close to a half an hour with 3 people working on it. Have not figured out an easy way to do it in windy conditions. Once it was up, it was great. Also not easy to take down.

Light and easy to assemble
The other reviews that say this is hard to assemble are way off. It took maybe 3 - 5 mins 1st try.*edit - its a little trickier in moderate/heavy wind. I suggest 2 people to assemble. We pinned the pouches down with coolers to help hold it down.Tips:1. Unfold tent2. Work woth 1 pole at a time. Only straighten 3/4 of the 1st pole. (Both elbows and 1 side).3. Feed pole 1 through the top and attach it to one end. (Follow the seam straight across).4. Line up the elbows of the pole in the top.5. Straighten the rest of the pole.6. Attach it to the other end.7. Go back and snap the clips to the pole.8. Repeat steps 2 - 7 for 2nd pole.9. Tie the poles together on the sides using the attach strings.10. Stake in ground (or fill pouches with sand).

broke while setting up first time
I liked the concept of this shade tent, but execution was poor. one of the poles broke at a joint while i was setting it up. The set up instructions were sketchy; some color coding or something would help. Difficult to find the sleeves for the poles and to know which sleeve to thread the poles through. Though a pole broke, I was able to set it up briefly anyway, just to see what it was like. Description claims it's 5.5ft high, but it's less than 5 feet. If it were easier to set up and didn't immediately break, I would like the overall layout and configuration. If it worked, it would make a nice shade shelter.
