BEST traps ever! Safe for your pets!
This is a fantastic trap! I have already re-used it over and over. I bought two sets, so I had 4 traps come in. I immediately put peanutbutter in the bait door and set them in my horse barn. I have been catching mouse after mouse. I just set them in their run areas-- along the wall. Once I have snapped one, I take it out to the back pasture, dump the mouse and set it again. I don't know how many mice I have caught with these traps, but a LOT!!!! I LOVE this trap. The best part of this trap is that I won't be catching other animals in it. I had a horrible incident with the common open snap-trap. I had a sparrow come into my barn and land on my trap. It snapped his head (I'm assuming the bird was checking out the bait). I was so upset and horrifed, I knew the answer was NOT those open snap traps and I got rid of them. My search began for something safer that my dogs and the birds would not accidentally get into. This Victor trap is the best invention ever! I know people have said this trap has not held up well, but I have no idea what they are doing wrong. There is admittedly a "trick" to getting the lever pulled up. You have to push in the button, and pull the lever up-- but once you get it up, pull back just a tiny bit-- gently-- and it will click back into position. I'm by nature, very gentle with things, so perhaps that is the tip..? I don't know, because I've been re-using these same 4 traps for a couple months now with no issues. I'm just happy to finally be making a dent in my mouse population in my horse barn!

After trying another brand that was more expensive and only worked half the time I thought I'd give this trap a try. At first it seemed to work great. (Although I could see the tail of the mouse sticking out of the trap.) It was easy to dispose of the mouse and use again. I caught another one, disposed of it and set the trap again. I can tell the mice have been playing with it because it has been moved and it looks like they got the bait out but it didn't trap anymore. I set up a new one and I actually SAW the mouse run out of the trap. And these are not baby mice, they are a normal size. I am so disappointed. I thought I discovered an effective, inexpensive way to get rid of my mouse problem but no. Time to start looking for yet another no-see-them trap.

It's OK for what it is.
It's a mouse trap. Don't have as much luck as I do with the more lethal ones. The one mouse I caught didn't die from the trap. I walked into the kitchen and heard scratching. I had to devise a way to kill the mouse without making a big mess that I didn't want to clean up. I ended up releasing the mouse into a plastic shopping bag and then stomping on it. Was effective. Good thing I found it and not my wife. I don't know what she would have done. I only use these in areas where my kids have access (kitchen if we ever see signs of mice, or laundry room/pantry in the basement). Anywhere the kids aren't supposed to go, I use the more lethal traps. They work better anyways.Having said that, I bought these because the only other ones I could find that were "safe" to use around kids were the single use ones for $2.50 each. I'm sorry, but I'm not going to pay $2.50 to kill 1 mouse. These are reusable, so no worries there.

Excellent product!
Quick kill, no touch, no see. It's effective and easy to use. You can either empty it and reuse or toss the whole thing. It's extremely reasonably priced so replacing it is a non issue.

I must have smart mice.
I had (?) a serious mouse problem in an older large house. Using a Havahart trap baited with peanut butter, I've caught about 45 mice in less than 3 months. Several times I caught 5 (record) in a couple hours. Then I bought a pack of these Victor traps. I baited one with the same peanut butter and replaced the Havahart trap in the same location. I put the other Victor trap in an area where we'd seen mice. After a week, nothing in either trap. I replaced one with the Havahart and had a mouse in less than an hour. Both Victor traps were then placed next to the refrigerator in narrow spaces. It's been a month and there's been nothing caught in the traps, although a mouse was found on the cabinet top right next to the refrigerator. Maybe my mice are too smart to crawl in to a tight hole, or perhaps the tiny amount of bait isn't enough to attract them, but these traps were a waste.

Good middle of the road option if you have bait and patience.
We recently moved into a rural community and found ourselves dealing with rodents. This is a very new experience for me and lets face it. Growing up in the city, never having to kill anything before. This is completely new territory for me. Not wanting to have to see the little bugger dead in the trap I started using the poison bait traps. While they work incredibly well you will find yourself looking for little dead carcasses as the smell of death is never pleasant. These traps are great middle of road option. They kill mice humanely, they are reusable, pet-safe, and you don't have to touch the mouse. The problem with these traps is the shape. Often times I find the trap laying on its side, without a mouse, but its clearly been disturbed. When you study the trap you will notice that the door that activates the trap has a very tiny hole to reveals the bait. I have tried using dog-food kibble and peanut butter to lure the mice into the trap but often times they would take the few morsels in the tunnel and leave the pieces behind the door alone (meaning the trap was never activated.)I am now using peanut butter, dog food kibble and mice attractant. - I have killed one mouse with this method. If you are uneasy with snap traps, have pets, or have a problem touching the mouse this is an effective method for catching mice just bring your patience and your mouse bait.

Does what it says on the tin
Don’t read or look if you disagree with mouse traps. (Yvonne Shearer and Meganne Shearer no offence like)One not so sunny Sunday the mother of the house decided to take out her actifry from under the sink to produce wonderfully healthy home made chips. Little did she expect, having had packed the actifry away the previous Sunday, to find that a wretched little mouser mcmouse face would play havoc with Sunday dinner plans. On removing the actifry from cupboard the mother noticed some mouse poop in the corner of the cupboard - oh dear must give the kitchen gadget an extra sterilisation before attempting to produce any food thought mother. Only to open up the actifry to find the fidget spinning mouse has nibbled away at the seal round the handle of the actifry. Oh nonsense this is no use. Mother shall have to dump the health hazard now.Ah but having another sensible thought the actifry can indeed be sterilised and maybe but maybe some spare parts can be found on Amazon. Unfortunately amazon yielded no answers but the tefal website promised a part for £14.60 or so that would ensure the family could go on using their healthy air frier assuming appropriate sanitisation could take plus post mousey mcmouse face invasion.Alas what should be done about dratted mouse ? The newly house embedded cat appears to take them through to the bedroom live and let them go so he could NOT be trusted.Back to Amazon and Victor clean killMouse trap £5.99 next day delivery to prime customers - BOOM. Stick that in your pipe and smoke it mc mouse face!!!!The following day mother returns home from work circa 2pm, in time to pick youngest child up for middle class Swimming lessons, to find that amazon has indeed delivered next day.Wonderful wonderful joy a nice easy mouse trap that has no chance of snapping ones fingers off before it’s even set. Following the instructions (amazing how that actually works) 2 mouse traps are set.Off to swimming we go , visit some local retailers in the town .... Jewellers, shoe Repair , Coo’s tail gallery (Barbara Cowan please can you set aside the stag for Ewens Christmas thanks will be in to square up ASAP) Kiln Store and Jolly old slimming world which reminded mother exactly why she needed the Actifry in the first place. Quick Pop to LEEDLS and home. Joy o Joy the mouse trap next to the actifry is Cowped onto its side. As soon as the father of the house had finished his, super quick, ( coz I have to go and rescue a bus) dinner mother proclaimed he must investigate the mouse trap. For the love of scones the mousey mc mouse face has managed to evade the snap bag wallop of the trap by attempting to get the bait by eating the plastic around it. RAGE.Father re sets the trap after some step by step guidance from mother who is trying to avoid touching it whilst serving up children’s dinner.9.15 pm. Father of the house still out rescuing a bus. Children having done homework without too much issue and eating all of their dinner are both asleep. Rubbish mouser cat curled in beside eldest resident child.Mother checks the trap - BOOOM gotcha. Simple easy release dumps mouse in bin outside with only having to look at the tail and no gory bits and a nice easy reset without even having to add more bait.I give you the 30 hour mouse hunt a la Huna.Mother is now off to check second trap beside boiler just in case because now she knows she can work a trap without dismembering a digit, Una Fraser you’re gonna get a set of these traps for Christmas since you’re a gadget lover but are also capable of injury during baiting.UPDATE 9.39 PM - boiler trap has also presented a win!!!!
