i saw the old reviews and expected the sole to come off the boots and i would need to repair itbut i was pleasantly surprised by the quality of them!i walked around for an hour and gently tugged the soles to test if they would fall off and they do not!they are good quality and the stitching is secure as far as I've seenthe faux leather doesn't feel cheep at all and they have a padded lining on the insidethe zipper is fine so fari am gentle with it though as the ankle is a bit tight on me and it can be tricky to get it past that pointi'd just advise taking it slow so as to not catch it on the inner flap between you and the zipper and get it stuckthey are knee high at least for me so if you're looking for mid calf boots you may need to find something else or modify them somehowand they are flat on the inside so if you plan to walk in them at conventions you'll probably want to get inserts as they will make it much more comfortablei am an 11 1/2 shoe size so i went with the 12-13 size as i'd rather they be a bit bigger then too smallthey fit as i expected them too (a little big)but with a little padding on the inside i'm sure they'll be fine ;)i would definitely recommend these for any costume / cosplay you need knee high black or brown boots fori got these for my rebel fleet trooper costume but they may need modifying as a RFT has a mid calf bootbut they are perfect for my Dib cosplay! (from invader zim)and they were so good i got a pair of the brown color as well to go with my jedi tunic :)very pleased with them indeed :)

I got these boots as part of a Malcolm Reynolds costume, and they work great! Everyone complemented me on the accuracy of my costume. :)The only downside, which is NOT the fault of the seller, is that they were too large for my feet. While reading other reviews for this product, I noticed that several people said the boots were smallish, especially in the calf, so I ordered one size larger than I normally wear. However, the boots seemed to be exactly the size listed (so they didn't fit my feet very well). I contacted the seller, who responded immediately, and was willing to let me exchange them for a smaller pair. Given the time constraint I was under (the date of the party I was assembling the costume for), they were even willing to send me a new pair right away, before I returned the first pair; then, I would return whichever pair didn't fit, at no extra cost. All I'd need to pay would be rush shipping to get the second pair to arrive in time. I didn't want to pay for overnight shipping (which would have been necessary to arrive in time; I didn't plan ahead very well...), so I decided to keep the original pair. But the fact that they were willing to try this shows that they are dedicated to making their customers happy.I would definitely order from this seller again, and would recommend others to buy from them as well. The boots look great, arrived promptly, are good quality for the price, and service is excellent. Just make sure to order the correct size!

Good fit, slightly on the bigger size. Might have considered moving down one side but with a thicker pair of socks it’s fine. Very comfortable and easy to put on and remove. Good quality and feel at a decent price. I only wish they were a few more inches higher up towards the knee but these still work great for my cosplay.

I bought the extra large and the boots fit around my calf nicely, but the shoe is BIG. I wish they put actual sizing on the site. I wear an 11 or 12 depending on the brand and this feels like a 13. Still ok to wear.

I selected fits as expected because I expected it to be on the large side. I simply recommend ordering what is your normal shoe size, get a pair of workman's shoe sole inserts,and wear a pair of dockers crew socks. Dockers make the best socks ever. Right now these boots seem to be sturdy enough for several wearings. I've been walking around the house with them on to test them and to break them in. So far I am pleased. Another issue some have mentioned is slipperiness. On dry non waxed surfaces there is none. On wet surfaces there is some so be cautious. And on freshly waxed surfaces, high likelihood of falling and injuring your pride and/or your body. One way to test for wet surface grip is run your shower for a minute and get the tub wet. put one foot in the tub and keep the other foot out of the tub. hold on to a wall and rub the foot in the tub back and forth and side to side. This of course is while wearing these boots. Repeat this with a pair of shoes you trust on wet surfaces. Compare the difference and decide for yourself. Comfort level is awful without inserts and very nice with inserts. SO GET INSERTS! I CAN'T STRESS THAT ENOUGH.

Looks good, fits poorly. These boots looked great. I got them in the size nearest my actual shoe size (10-11), and the part of the boot that my foot fits into was spot-on. Roomy enough that it didn't feel constricting, but not so big that they felt awkward. The height of the boot was perfect. Where the whole thing failed was in the calf-size. I have 19" calves, and I could not zip these boots up all the way. I couldn't even zip them halfway. And that was without any other clothing items taking up space inside the boot. Overall, I would not recommend these unless you have skinny little chicken legs, haha.

Got these for a couple of costumes and they work great for them. They hurt my toes after all day, but they are definitely tolerable. Pretty much any boot I have ever worn does that because I have very wide feet. These were definitely a good purchase for me.

Yes, the best choice of foot wear I've made in years, in that they help my legs problem in eliminating discomfort, thus wearing them daily since delivery. And most suitable when using my mobility scooter too!.

These boots are just what I was hoping for. They fit me very well and go with the rest of my outfits very well. The quality is excellent and very good value for money.
