Why would they put this warning on a bag of seeds.. so I had to start googling prop 65 because I live in NYC and in NYC we like living on the edge with no warnings. Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements.” California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment just puts it on everything because CANCER.I just wanted to make some bread like my grandmother used to make using anise seeds. The bread was perfection! The anise flavor was strong and fragrant. I love that licorice taste!

I remember back in the land of sand finding this gem of an herb. It is the All-Good-Herb. Trust me you will feel that everything is "all good". This is the only one I've seen on amazon that is as pure as I remember. It's all good :)

Great anise seed with an official shelf life of about three years, depending on date of purchase. Pretty sure it could be used beyond that time if kept cool and dry, but flavor may wane a bit. Lovely quality for homemade Dutch taaitaai.

There are stems and fiber in my bag, I had to look on the back to see what the heck was in the bag. I have NEVER gotten stems and fiber in my Anise seed, Anyone else have debris in their bag?

Mom's favorite "cookie" is an anise biscotti. My recipe calls for Anise Seeds as well as oil. After shopping the local stores and not finding what I needed, I tried Amazon and Voila! Of course they had the item, and better yet - organic!

The seeds were not separated from the stems or cleaned. There is a lot of loose stems and other stuff in the bag.Zoom in on the product picture and they can be seen, so it is not just getting a bad batch of seeds.

Love the licorice smell, dogs loved it too! Tried thus to stop them from eating their poop, I think all we did was add some flavor to their poop they seem very content with.

It's not as easy to buy Anise seeds in stores where we live now, so we looked online and found these. We make Yansoon (tea) from Anise seeds often, so this was a great deal.

This is very flavourful for baking items like biscottis. It will certainly put the lead back in your pencil.
