Works as expected

The original 15A thermal breaker in our 20 year old electric fireplace kept tripping. I looked up replacement parts from the manufacturer, which stated the original part was discontinued. After some research, I decided to take a chance on this as a replacement option and it was truly plug and play....our fireplace now works like it's supposed to! It also seems to be a better made part than the original.

I modified an AC motor,belt driven lathe to substitute a treadmill DC motor and controller panel to power my lathe directly so I have infinite speed control. I found out the motor tries to draw infinite DC current when I jam the motor by too heavy a load. This causes the controller board to overheat and trip the 20 AMP AC breaker on the control panel. I inserted the 15 AMP DC thermal breaker in the motor supply line and that fixed the problem. Now I just have to restart the treadmill motor when this occurs. Problem solved.

I bought 2 of these for my Amish Roll and Glow fireplaces but they're the wrong size. But I'm sure they'll come in handy some day so into my "spare parts" tools they will go until needed. They look very sturdy and well made.

This was a perfect fit for my Iso Bar power strip.

I use these in Heatsurge fireplaces and they much better quality than come with the heaters that's why I have to replace so many of them.

This is a drop in replacement for many of the panel mount circuit-breaker devices out there. Mine are working exactly as expected.
