This is a much heavier duty leash than most. Other leashes do the job fine but do wear out. This one should last much longer. I haven't used it yet but I expect it to work fine. The coiled elastic is not too stiff so I expect it to easily stretch out while in use then recoil out of the way while the paddle is stowed. What I mean is it is stretchy enough to use but not strong enough to pull on your paddle while in use or across your lap when fishing.

I bought 2 of these, one for myself and one for my son. They looked and sounded like a good idea. The first time we used them, my son dumped his kayak. I pulled to the side to wait when I saw his paddle float by. I paddled about 1/4 mile and finally captured his paddle and walked back to where he was stranded. I ask him why he did not use his leash. He said he was and showed me the broken leash. I contacted the manufacturer through their website and got no response at all. I replaced the broken, original "para-cord", with real quality para-cord and it seems to work fine.

Great paddle leash - it has a brass hook which is durable and a quick release feature. It does not interfere with paddling and I have the assurance that I won't lose my paddle if I accidentally drop it. Spend the extra $10 and get this one with a brass hook which won't break! unlike more inexpensive ones.

Well made, fair price an poo wild work well for it's intended purpose but it is not kayaking weather in NY so not totally sure.

This product has an outstanding quality. Very useful quick release and brass clip, bungee cord (red color - easy to see anywhere). Helped me a lot in the moments where I stopped paddling to take some pictures. This thing just saved the paddle more than once (great investment). Highly recommend this for any boat, kayak or canoeing.

Works as expected. With excessive use, I'd expect the coiled portion to loosen/soften. Coil not as thick, however lightweight.

Disappointed in product. Purchased due to the brass/metal clip in hopes it would hold up. First time my son flipped his kayak in some class 3 rapids, the plastic clip broke. I still use mine just to keep my paddle from floating away, but do not count on this to hold up in more than a simple dropped paddle situation.

Works is small and stretches long time.
