My Akita was miserable with allergies-itchy skin with welts and bumps, and gastritis. The vet regimen of prednisone and antibiotics barely touched the skin symptoms and made the gastritis much worse. After a few months of study and trial and error we found our solution, and this particular probiotic is a cornerstone of it. They're large but soft and easily crumbled over his meal. This in combination with the NatureGood Salmon oil seems to have slowed down my dog's itching. My dog does not have problems with diarrhea or gas, but her stools seem a bit firmer since I have added this--makes for easier clean up! It hasn't made her constipated, but I am being careful with keeping her hydrated and will decrease the dose or stop intermittently if I noticed her stools getting too firm. Overall, my dog seems pretty comfortable!

I was looking for a probiotic for my dog. These were rated the highest and the price was right. I can't comment on the flavor, as asked, because, I didn't sample one. :) My dog eats them eagerly, so the flavor must be very enticing. My dog had occasional diarrhea, and a pesky UTI. This is a wonderful and effective product.
