Nice selection of simple projects for the home
This book has 25 projects to sew for your home including several different styles of cushions, curtains, bedding, storage solutions and more. The project are split by room making it easy to find what you want to sew. They have step by step instructions accompanied by pretty colour illustrations. Most of the projects are fairly simple shapes (rectangles or squares) so don't require templates. Those that do require templates have them in the back of the book, but a few do require re-sizing. There's also a techniques section at the start of the book to help beginner's get to grips with the techniques used.I have to say I think they put the wrong picture on the cover, I don't think it shows how pretty most of the projects are. I've attached some pictures so you can see some of them.

Easy to understand for the beginner
I borrowed this book originally from the library and I just had to buy a copy of my own.

It’s just ok!
Very basic projects. Would I say it’s worth it? I got it for around £3 so it was. Any more…probably wouldn’t bother.

Needs more thorough instructions for those learning to sew
I do not recommend this book for beginners (like me). A lot of the directions are spotty and not explained very well - like 2/3 of a project is adequately explained, but the other 1/3 is vague and hard to figure out. I tried to make the hot pad, for example. The instructions for the main section were fine, so I made that and it turned out pretty good, but then the instructions for the border are really vague and barely explain what to do. I haven't ever been able to figure the border out... The directions seem incomplete, and i don't have the know-how yet to successfully improvise. So now I've just got a useless piece of hot pad with raw edges :( I had really cute fabric and was looking forward to completing it, so that was a total disappointment.Maybe for people that already know how to sew, these might be simple projects (and most of them look like they'd be really cute, done correctly!). But for people like me who are actually trying to "Learn to sew" like the title of the book says, the instructions just aren't thorough enough.
