Interesting and informative!
I very much enjoyed this book about the history of Georgetown. It was very pleasant to read, I learned a lot, and I even found myself reading lots of sections out loud to my spouse! The authors clearly put in an enormous amount of time and effort to do the research and to present the everything so effectively in pictures and words. I benefited enormously from that effort as a reader, and I'm sure many others will feel the same.

The history of Georgetown University comes to life in this book!
This was a fascinating read. The book captures the history of Georgetown University from its founding through the 1970's. The historic photos and documents are a treasure. You learn so much about an organization by understanding its history and O'Neill and Smith do a great job in bringing the history of the University to life. I highly recommend this book to all Georgetown students and alumni.

A Unique and Interesting View at Georgetown University
O'neill and Williams provide a snapshot view of one of the oldest elite universities in the country. The pictures, many of which have never been brought together before, visualize the growth of a school and community, while the captions share the interesting 200+ year history of "the school on the hilltop." A definite must have for any Georgetown student, parent or alumnus, alike. Some really cool pictures, a neat story and a great book. Bravo!

A must-read for those with ties to DC and/or Georgetown.
This book truly captures the essence of what makes Georgetown such a special place. The images offer a fascinating glimpse of a school that grew with our nation, and the captions are succinct and insightful. Certainly an interesting read for any history buff, but a must-have for anyone with ties to the university.
