I really liked the look of this unit and it took me a long time to choose one. I went for this as I was on a budget and was hoping it wasn't like some of the bad reviews and more like the positives. I was not disappointed. It took my partner about 5 hours to assemble but this included checking all the parts were there, which they were - bonus! The only reason it took so long is because there are a lot of parts but the actual instructions he said were very clear and no need for any extra holes to be made or bits not fitting properly. It looks far more expensive than it is and looks great with the tv on. It is sturdy but also not too heavy even though it looks as if it should be. I am very pleased with my purchase. Would definitely recommend.

Final result looks great but assembling it was all going fine until you get to the last couple things. The bottom parts where the face goes on with the M shaped arch has no tacks holding it in place and no screw holes. Althout the wood is weak enough to screw streight into it, holding it perfectly in place was annoying whilst trying to put the screws in. If you get it slitely wrong it would look horrible so you should have screw holes. Also same thing aswell for these 2 parts of wood on the bottom that go either side behind the face. There again was no screw holes and they are visible so have to be perfect. Why give you joiners for most of the peaces and screw holes but for the last 2 parts you don't have joiners even thou these parts have to be perfect. If it was someone less experienced then they could mess this up.

I have two small children, so didn't want to buy expensive furniture with fear of it being ruined. I ordered this tv unit, but was sceptical about how good of quality it would be. I was pleasantly surprised. The wood is of good quality and once assembled it is sturdy and the overall unit looks great. It is a bit annoying to put together - statement from husband who assembled it, but I would highly recommend this product.

Great looking TV DVD Player stand ,good value in comparison to Argos etc . Relatively easy to assemble but make sure you get the Middle Draw support the right way up ,took me around an hour and a half to fully assemble it i'd recommend this no problem

Lovely unit that is solid and sturdy. It's reasonably easy to put together. Mine was missing the bottom of both drawers so make sure you check really carefully before you start to assemble!

First impressions were that this was going to look good and be good quality, hence the purchase.Positives:looks nice and sizeable. Thats pretty much it.Negative:Instruction leaflet can be confusing at times. You really need to pay attention to the direction and specific details and not just the numbered and lettered items otherwise your tv unit will go wrong very quiickly. You dont want this to happen for a number of reasons.The build design could be better. its obvious the aim was to use wood and screws, and nothing else. This is not an issue for me however you will see that the angle of the screws going into the wood joints is often tricky to get straight.The wood itself is very soft wood. You'll be tempted to use a power driver, dont do this as you will split or damage the wood very easily. And on the subject of the quality of the qood it is clear in my case there was very little quality control. If you look at my picture of the drawer side you will see the wood is literally wafer thin and rotted. Since there is a screw placement direct on this rot then this drawer will not last very long. In fact if you put any pressure on this wood it will crumble like a biscuit.When building the unit i would suggest a small 5inch philips screwdriver, there are some parts where a longer screwdriver will simply not fit. You will also need to build the drawers on a flat surface in order to get the screws tight and straight otherwise the drawer base grooves will not line up. This is not clear in the instructions and again due to the soft wood if you get this wrong then product will be a lost cause.Overall for £50 I expected far better quality a product. it is very substandard and disappointing however its already been opened and built so lets see how long it lasts. Very soft cheap wood, not a great build design and poor quality control. If I checked every single piece of wood when I opened the package then it would have been going straight back. If I were you then I would save my money and get a better quality product.

Wanted to wait a little before submitting a review... overall it's great value for money and solid. Doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart. I agree with some other reviews that it was complex to put together but my father-in-law seemed to get on ok with it. One downside is that the drawers don't fit perfectly. Bit too much of a gap around them. I'd recommend waxing or varnishing as it doesn't wipe clean very easily as it's quite a rough surface.
