Paul Clarl (aka Clarky) is most noted as the lead guitarist for The David Cross Band (Cross is a former member of the pioneering progressive rock band King Crimson). He is however also an instrumental rock / metal guitarist writing and recording solo material. Clark's debut solo album 'Shredz at an exhibition' contains 7 great instrumental tracks telling the stories of 7 well known paintings. When you listen to the album you will certainly hear that he worked at this piece of art for over 5 years.

Art and science of guitar
This is the sort of playing that allows a listener to realize that mastery of the guitar is only part science, and so much more about the art. His technique throughout the disc is near perfect, but more important, he knows how to wring every bit of emotion from the instrument. This is not merely a disc for listening, but a disc for feeling. Clark mixes a classical foundation with Malmsteen-caliber shredding, and the resulting construction is an amazing instrumental journey.
