OXO Good Grips Silicone Oven Mitt, Jam - Pack of 2

I got these on the recommendation of the Americans Test Kitchen people. I had hesitated about the silicone, wondering whether they would be comfortable, but they turned out to be very comfortable.But there's an additional really terrific benefit. After years of using fabric oven mitts, sometimes they would get wet while cooking, and when that happens, when you try to pick up something hot, the heat transfers right through to your poor old hands – ouch! But with these, any water cannot penetrate through the silicone, so my hands are far more protected, and that is a bonus I had anticipated. These are terrific!I only wish they came in more colours. I got red, and I would not have gotten the light blue or white (concerned they might get stained easily) or the black (too gloomy). But they work like a charm, and for someone who really cooks a lot, these are great.
