Hard but worth it!!
This workout appears to be the 'prequel' to ultimate challenge, ultimate results'. It has the same format and instructor, and is set as a bootcamp style fast paced workout. I tried this yesterday and almost collapsed in a heap on the floor many times throughout, it really works up a sweat. I love Nell McAndrews workouts, they are great cardio workouts and are great in combination with further strength training. There is a 10 min warm up, a 40 min workout and then some floor work concentrating on mainly arms and abs and a cooldown. This workout has millions of squats, lunges, arm movements and jogging on the spot. It keeps you constantly moving and the strict, but not too menacing, instructor kept me motivated to keep going. I knew he couldn't see me, but really wanted to keep up with everybody else in the 'class'.This video might not be suitable for beginners, but I was a beginner and just did as much as I could of this and other videos, slowly working my way up to finishing the workout as my fitness level increased. So, whatever you're fitness level buy this video and work up to it!! It's worth it, and a great bargain!

Prepare to sweat!!
Not really a video for beginners, but for those with a certain level of fitness, its fantastic! Full of high impact activity and leaves you feeling exhausted but with a definate sense of having done something. Nell doesn't take the class, but its refreshing to see her at the front, sweating like the rest of us as it progresses. Some man takes the class and spends much of the time yelling incoherent guck, but steps are easy to follow. It's full of peaks as the intensity fluctuates, allowing time to catch your breath before you soldier onto the next bout of starjumps etc.I have to admit, I didn't manage the full 40 minute work out at first, but the minute counter along the bottom of the screen allows you to set yourself targets. The music has much to be desired, although it seems to suit the workout.Definately worth buying for those serious about increasing their level of fitness, and money well spent on my behalf I felt!

HOLD! HOLD! HOLD!
This is a pretty good workout. The cardio section is brilliant, and it can be modified to suit your level of fitness i.e. marching on the spot whilst doing the arm actions. From start to finish (including the upper body and floor work), it's a long session, but who says you have to do everything! I usually do the cardio section, then alternate the upper body and bums/tums/thighs sections on different days.I've got 2 more of Nell's dvd's, so I'm used to Liam (the instructor), and his sargeant major style. I must say that he seems a lot more cheerful in the other dvd's, and even has a bit of a laugh. He's a deadly serious man in this dvd though, and he really does bark HOLD! a little too often for my liking.I prefer the music on Nell's other workouts, but saying that, this music is lively to exercise to, just a different style. As with Nell's other workout's, the moves are very easy to follow. Not recommended if you live in an apartment with a creaky floor though!Ok, you could go jogging for 40 minutes instead of doing the cardio section, but if like me, your not a fan of jogging, or just want to break up your routine with something different, I reckon that this workout is really effective. If your looking for great cardio and strength work, this should do the trick. It is high intensity, but you can simplify some of the moves if you wish. If you're after something a bit less intense, I'd recommend Nell's Maximum Impact.

It's hard work, but totally worth it
I've tried lots of workout DVDs, but this one is brilliant, the celebrity actually breaks into a sweat! It's a high impact cardio workout, and it really is hard work. I wouldn't consider myself as unfit, but I haven't managed to finish the DVD yet, it's a challenge! The best part of the DVD is that it seems to work parts of your body that you don't expect. The last time I did the DVD I concentrated on the warm up and the 40 minute cardio, but the next day it was my lower stomach which was aching (and felt like a rock!). The cardio is so intense and concentrated me so much, that my core got a workout and my abs were all the better for it!I would definitely encourage you to buy this DVD. Some people have said it's a challenge, but surely that's what we all want!! You don't have to be able to do it all at first, you can build to that...you'll actually feel like you've achieved something.

Peak Energy
Bought Ultimate Challenge, Ultimate Results first and thought it was great, so bought Peak Energy. Their both very, very similar, in fact you don't really need both.I think Peak Energy is for the not so fit and Ultimate Challenge,Ultimate Results is more intensive.

AMAZING!!!!!!!
I love this workout, yes it is difficult and yes it is repetitive. However if you are wanting to see results then this is the best fitness dvd I have come across so far. Lets face it if you are wanting to lose weight and tone up then you have to put in the hard work, the people who are moaning that it is too difficult I urge them to stick with it... keep on adding time on each time you do it and you will notice such a difference. It is true that some parts are quite repetitive but I can honestly say that I do not find it boring and to tell you the truth I prefer that to some annoying dance routine that takes me about 15 attempts to get the hang of (also not helped by being the most uncoordinated person I know)I really want to urge people to buy this dvd and USE it, it has helped me to lose 1.5 stone and I have bought all of Nell's other dvds and I think that they are all amazing!
