Solid, comfortable fabric. Terrible to install.
I bought this because of the feature of unzipping just the top to wash. Great. The fabric is soft and comfortable. But getting it on the mattress a nightmare. Tip to manufacturer: Print orientation diagrams on the surface of the protector with arrows indicating head and foot ends, top and bottom of mattress etc.

Quiet, Soft, Waterproof and Excellent Customer Support!
I LOVE this mattress protector! I have raved about it to many family members and friends! ...that's why I came back here to update my review, only to find I never actually reviewed it. 😳"ORIGINAL" REVIEW 😉 (February 2016)I purchased this protector after hours of research, with the intention to protect my 1st ever mattress purchase. I wanted something that was easy to clean, waterproof and didn't make a racket everytime someone shifted on it like with the plastic protectors from my childhood. I also wanted something that would protect the bed from bedbugs. I live in the Northwest, where bedbugs aren't exactly an issue. But, I knew I couldn't see the future, and I had heard the horror stories about them and figured, why not throw some extra protection into this.I also loved the fact this company believes so much in their products, they back it with a 10 year guarantee! This wasn't a cheap purchase as a young adult moving into their first place, but it seemed like the best choice to get my money's worth.UPDATE (December 2020)I STILL love this mattress protector! I also have never been so grateful for such a pricey purchase... next to getting my dream dog, the going extinct, Welsh Springer Spaniel. This mattress protector has been through a lot! It has protected my bed from cat puke, pet hair (rabbit, dogs, cats), water spills, unexpected "that time of the month", someone getting sick on it, and more. Its been washed many times and is easy to put back on the bed.A few months back, I noticed the protector was wearing thin in near the middle of the bed. I also noticed a change in texture and sound when running my hand across it.The next time I pulled it off the bed to wash it, I tried to test it for leaking, but when you're short and don't have an extra pair of hands, it was hard to tell. I believe it was more water resistant at this point.I contacted the company via email and they responded pretty fast. They asked me to send a picture of the "damaged" spot and my order number . I sent them a video of me running my hand across the area, so you could hear the difference, as a picture didn't really show much. They were totally ok with the video proof and immediately sent me a new protector. Not only that, but they had updated their product since my purchase and they sent me the updated version 100% free! They even covered the shipping!PROS• 100% Waterproof• Easy enough to remove and wash• Washes up beautifully• Stretchy with plenty of room for a thick mattress topper• Very well made• Excellent customer support• Quiet (there is minimal noise. Not enough to bother me, someone who's a light sleeper with dog-like hearing)• Soft material for being waterproofCONS (really not something that I feel goes against the company)• When washing, it does trap a lot of water (but duh, it's a waterproof protector, any of them would and SHOULD when washed! I didn't feel this should count any stars less, when asked about the ease of cleaning.)• Started to wear out after a few years (but the company replaced it 100% FREE OF CHARGE)• I do find that the protector does shift around a bit (not a huge deal, I just tuck the scrunchy part of the bottom protector back under the bed when I change the sheets weekly. This is probably due to the roominess of the protector, which allows for the addition of a thick mattress and topper)Would I recommend it?YES! And I have over and over! Anytime someone brings up their mattress, or talks about how they bought a new mattress, I rave about this protector! Was it worth the price?Heck yeah, every penny! Even after it started to wear out, I contacted the company and the sent me a new one without any cost to me. They even sent the updated version!

Strong and waterproof - but a bit a noisey
I bought this and SLEEP TITE by Malouf Mattress Protector - 100% Waterproof-Eliminates Dust Mites -15 Year Warranty for the master and spare queen beds. Both are bar none the best when it comes to build quality. At least from what I've experienced over the years with cheap mattress covers that don't last (plastic lined ones where the plastic deteriorates over a year and renders the entire thing useless).I immediately tested this out (before putting it on the bed) with a glass of water upside down - and it held the water in! None seeped through to the other side. Even tried it on some of the joints, and it did not disappoint. I then gave this some good pulling and stretching to see how well it would hold up and it was very strong. Again I'm not worried about this falling apart anytime in the next 5-10years (and the warranty is for 15!)I don't have a bedbug problem, so I can't comment on that part. However I can imagine if water and air can't permeate, then neither could any form of bed bugs.I recently purchased a 4k$ tempurpedic and I wanted to get the best cover to protect it. As we have a tendency to knock drinks off the endstands in our sleep. Our first cover was an elastic bottom one that had a kind of netting on the bottom half, so sure enough a drink split and is went through that and stained the side of the bed. Wasn't making that mistake again! It's machine wash safe as well; make sure you put it on the gentle cycle, cold water, and tumble dry only. This is big enough to fit our 18" thick mattress and leave no part of it unexposed. I was worried that there would be a play or extra material because of the wide range (depth) of mattress it supports (6-22 supposedly), however the little that was left tucked very nicely and with a fitted sheet on top there isn't a real problem of it being "too loose".However, in part there is and it brings me to my only complaint: This isn't a "silent" mattress cover. I think over time (owned for 4 months now) I either notice it less now or it somehow generates less friction (maybe different sheets), because it's not currently as bad as it was initially. At first though, I almost wanted to return it as I was so put off by the plastic sound whenever I'd get into bed or move around... Albeit, I've owned probably 5 cheap covers in the past decade or so and the were all SIGNIFICANTLY louder. This really wasnt in comparison, I just expected something of this quality to be near silent (did I mention I'm very sensitive and anal to noises). Also expected it to be quiet partially because of their elastic bottom cover I already had for our other bed (linked above) is lined with terry cloth and is virtually silent. It's really probably a minor or non noticeable issue for most people. I'm not sure why they didn't line at least the top with terry cloth. Either way this is the best cover out there I've tried, and I do not intend on replacing it. Buy this and I'm sure you won't regret it. If you don't need the zippered enclosure (main purpose I'd imagine is bed bugs), you might be happier with their terry cloth elastic cover - it's also cheaper.

Peace of Mind
We recently discovered a low-infestation of bed bugs in our apartment. I immediately bagged all of our clothing and called in for treatment. I purchased this mattress cover along with a box spring cover and pillow covers. After the first treatment, I put this cover on. I did not have an issue putting it on by myself (queen size bed). The trick is to be slow and precise. I followed the advice of another commenter to lay it down first, orient it to the mattress and place the zipper at the foot of the bed. Very happy with the quality of this product. It seems to seal well. I was advised by the exterminators to leave these covers on for at least a year and a half in case any eggs or bugs are trapped inside; he told me that bed bugs can live up to a year without feeding. I hope that this will give me peace of mind to finally get a sound sleep tonight.

No instructions.
I like this cover so far however there was no instructions as to how to properly install. I don't know if I got the cover on the right way because there is a difference. There is a picture on the outside of the box but it doesn't help at all. I guess as long as it's on and I have the excess tucked in between the mattress and the box spring then there should not be a problem.Update - I have had this installed on my mattress for over a year and the only problem I have is that it is much to big for my Queen mattress. When I purchased this, I did not see any options for depth of mattress and this would fit of the really deep mattresses. This causes the cover to slip off the corners after a couple of sleeps so I am constantly pulling off the sheet, rearranging the cover and then putting the sheet back on. I have to box spring cover as well but it seem to fit quite well and I imagine that is because box springs are a pretty standard size. I never did find any bed bugs in my apartment but I do sleep easier knowing that if they ever visit my apartment, they won't be living in my bed. I am confident these covers will keep them out of the mattress and box spring.

Works great! Recommend!
At first was a little complicated figuring out how it should go on as the top is removable so that you can unzip and wash it.It was hard getting the top back on once i unzipped. The portion that attached the zipper was made from cheap material and seemed as it was going to rip.The material the mattress is made of was very good material, waterproof and breathable, stretchy. The protector had more than enough room to hold the mattress without strain. My mattress has 3 foam tops, one of which was over sized and folded over the mattress but the mattress protector covered it with no issueWe have NOT had any uninvited visitors since then and I have not been bitten once from a bb!!!FYI - this doesn't mean bb wont crawl on top of the protector. Also I did put in some elbow grease prior to putting on this protector on which probably did the trick. I cleaned the bbs from my mattress with spraying RUBBING ALCOHOL, picking off the bbs and then wiping down the area with BLEACH. (I got minor chemical burns from the bleach on my hands and so much scrubbing -USE GLOVES)This is a 2 person Job, (1 person to hold the mattress and 1 to put on the protector)I would def. recommend. this protector.

Save your money and buy this one !
Great quality mattress protector !I have a very deep queen sized bed and I was worried that it wouldn't fitIt fit perfectly and didn't take away from the plushness of my mattress like other mattress protestorsInstallation Tip: do not unzip the protector completely when putting it on your bed. Figure out what direction it's supposed go on your bed first then slowly unzip the protector and slip it on to the mattress bit by bitI read other reviews that said installation was difficult because there are no instructions provided with the protector but this trick worked for me.It is true though ... Instructions would be helpful but it took me about 30 mins to get it on ( my mattress is very heavy )Just don't unzip all the way until you know you have the protector in the correction position !Great zipper closure ... Let's nothing in or outFar more cost efficient than my initial purchase from the bay for a ridiculous $150.00 ....I returned it as soon as I got malouf in the mailHighly recommend

Protects bed from unwanted intruders and objects
Protects bed from harmful bed bugs (have not seen any yet knock on wood) and floating agents like mites. I leave a glass of water by the nightstand beside my bed and often than not, I do occasionally spill some water on my bed. The sleep protector protects my bed from being soaked more times that I can count unfortunately. There have been other reviews where people have complained that it caused discomfort as its a extra layer between them and the bed but I do not have any sort of issue like that or it might be that I am used to it.
