A Very Pretty Way to Deter Slugs
I am experimenting with this stuff, two ways. I have a small, wooden, raised bed of strawberries and wanted to keep the slugs away so I got this and loosely wrapped it around the outside of the bed, holding it down with earth Staples. It's been out there several weeks and seems to be working. No slug damage or slimy trails in that bed. I know they are out there because I have seen the trails on the path next to that bed.I also have taken what was left of the roll and made collars for around my squash plants. In the past, I've had a problem with squash vine borers. I'm hoping the shiny, odd feeling, copper collars will deter them from laying eggs by my plants. So far, so good, though there's no way of knowing if they just didn't make it into my garden this year.Still, my plants are looking pretty bougie with their copper bling collars.I would definitely recommend this product and I will definitely buy it again.10/04/19 - UPDATE: This worked wonders for keeping the slugs off my strawberry plants. It didn't work for keeping squash vine borers from my squash plants. I'm still leaving it at 5 stars because it was the best thing ever for keeping slugs out of a raised bed. I will be buying it again next spring. I could probably use it for a few seasons but it's not as shiny as it was when I first installed it.

Easy Install.
I picked the product to protect the insulation wrapped around the coolant line between my outdoor AC unit and the house after my A/C guy pointed out where some form of rodent had been using it for his personal stuffing supply. The product is light, flexible, and from the reviews I've seen, strong enough to withstand the type of pests I've had to deal with. It was easy to wrap around the insulation coolant line with the electrical line. The length of this product in the container was almost exactly twice the length of the run to be protected. But by overlapping the mesh upon itself, the length was perfect for my needs. My A/C guy was pleased.

PRICE??? Great that it's formed as a cylinder, seems promising but I'll need to update later in the year
UPDATE: Well, the squirrels had no problem chewing through this stuff to get to plums. They chewed and/or pulled the mesh apart, leaving holes large enough to remove the fruit. I'm fairly sure it was squirrels - raccoons would have broken the branches of the young plum tree. It's early in the season and the fruit is still too small to be attacked by critters, but i like that this stuff comes formed in a closed cylinder. I wasn't entirely sure from the description, but that makes it easy to cut and simply tie off on either end; I used wire to tie one end closed and the other end tight where the fruit is connected to the branch.I'm using this on figs and plums, then apples later in the season. I think the fruit will be safe from the squirrels, but I'm wondering if birds will still damage it even if they can't really get a good meal through the mesh. I'll definitely update my review when I know better if the fruit survives.

No more bats!!
So it's been over a year, and NO MORE BATS!!! We had tried everything, this stuff works. It did take a few different methods, this is what worked: We waited until it was the right time - August is your window - we stuffed the mesh in under that trim that runs up the side of the house to the peak (we witnessed bats flying out of there) Then we got a huge sheet of plastic and duct taped it to the peak, letting it hang down several feet, open on the bottom. Don't put the mesh where the plastic will go yet, you want them to fly out. Google bat evacuation. This will look pretty ghetto but better than bats in the attic. The bats fly out of this plastic "funnel" and can't fly back in. After about 10 days we removed the plastic and stuffed mesh into the peak and any spots that we missed. Now get yourself a cold drink and sit in your chair at dusk and watch. Do the bats come out? NO!! Mission accomplished! If they have moved to another part of the house, which is possible, repeat these steps. Start early August so you have a month to move the plastic if need be. The mesh is still tucked away under our eaves, never fell out, I can't even see it. This stuff was a miracle!

So far, so good
This copper mesh has so far kept the mice that had been getting into our attached garage out. I stuffed a goodly bunch of the mesh in the two tiny holes they had gnawed through the wood shingles to get inside the garage, and since that time, the mouse traps have been kept empty - a big relief to me, as I did hate finding and getting rid of a dead mouse that had been trapped every few days. The copper mesh arrived quickly, and am very pleased. It has worked better than the pest control company that had been treating the garage for the mice - and it is much cheaper! Hopefully, it continues to work for us, and the mice do not learn to pull it from the holes. or gnaw a hole someplace else to get inside.

Steel mesh to upset the rodents!
We plugged some gaps we found under our siding with a mix of this item and a rodent caulking. Worked great! No more way in for Mr. Mouse!

Lovely look
Used it to cover hanging planters that had been ravaged by birds in past years. Solved the problem and the warm copper color really dressed the planters up. Very easy to work with. PERFECT solution!👍
