Shooter's Bible, 106th Edition: The World's Bestselling Firearms Reference

The same problem I find with Gun Digest is occurring here. Lots of information on the guns out there for the corresponding year. Lots of photos, some of color and the rest is black and white. I do expect better from a firearm's reference book than what I find. I've been reading Shooter's Bible almost since the beginning and the quality of the book has gone down in the last several years The problem I see with these books is that they makes mistakes with gun descriptions. They'll show a gun picture and show the wrong description for it. The editors need to look closely before they release it to print. Not all the information inside is accurate because of this. Double check everything to ensure you found the correct information. Take this book with a grain of salt and you should be okay.

This was a Christmas gift for my father for the second year. He is a gun collector and an avid hunter of different game. My dad reads it cover to cover twice then keeps it for reference. It doesn't have every model from every maker, but has a good selection of the newer styles from a variety of popular gun makers. It also mentions ammunition recomended for each gun featured.

My father started collecting Shooter's Bible's before I was born, I have a great number of them. The bible always contains very good information about current firearms and related items. And as an added benefit if you start to collect them you can use them a reference for discontinued items. I always look for the bible to add to my collection.
