No more fumbling a cookbook to read a recipe.
I love the sturdiness of this wooden cookbook stand. It was easy to put together, and the cookbook, or even your tablet if you subscribe to a cooking/baking blog or have cookbooks loaded on your mobile devices will fit on the stand. It is evenly spaced in order to hold even the heaviest of books. It makes a great gift alongside a cookbook for that beginner cook, or even the best chef you know!

Perfect for displaying.
This Is Perfect for displaying my antique plate. The color is nice, and it was easy to assemble. I gave it 4 stars because it's not 100 % Sturdy but still holds up well. I think it would also be great for my cookbooks if I want to display them, but I don't think I can use it as I cook. It would probably rip the pages. Overall, great little stand to display itmes.

Works great for holding small signs too
I ordered this cookbook holder to hold a small sign at our front door. This is a good holder. It is constructed of thick, solid wood. It assembles in second by just sliding the pieces together. Once assembled it is quite stable, but if you want a more permanent assembly you could just use two nails or screws to join the pieces. I like the rustic look of it. It works well for holding the small sign at our door so the gardeners and delivery people don't keep knocking it over. Five stars.

Does the job
We, too, have "The Joy of Cooking". Our hardcover copy does fit this stand, but it does stand a bit more vertically than I'd like and it is a bit tight. My copy of Mark Bittman's "How To Cook Everything" (highly recommended and our kitchen's cooking bible) also fits, and it's a good-sized cookbook. However, I'm inclined to agree with the general consensus that this stand works best with smaller-sized books. It's an acceptable value for the money being asked and is recommended at four stars.

Simple & Attractive
Yeah! I love having a book stand for when I am cooking. I have never had one before. I was worried about the width because some of my cook books are thick but this rack holds them just fine. I can also use my iPad on it as well. Easy to assemble and I like that I can quickly take it apart and store it in a drawer since I have limited counter space.

Hold cook books well
Seems to hold most any cookbook well. Part of the stand is missing stain. See pic. Top part on arms has no stain. I plan to use touch up furniture pens to fix that. Not very obtrusive. Does not take up much counter space. Easy to disassemble and store. Good value for price.

Perfect for written and digital recipes
I am a big fan of this cookbook stand. It is visually appealing with its natural wood. It is versatile in that you can access any style of recipe whether it be written or digital. I am able to use any style of written book with it and it holds my iPad for my digital cookbooks and recipes and videos. I also like that it is not one piece. It is comprised of three pieces that come together in an instant. When you are not using it you can separate the three pieces for easy out of the way storage.

Could be sturdy
The book holder is nice but it is hard to turn pages. The holder also came broken. I was able to fix with some wood glue.
