I loved this star when I saw it and loved it even more when I placed it on my tree! Just the right size and it’s not too bright. Great purchase!

I have wanted one of these Moravian stars ever since I was in high school & used to see them on homes in Amish country around Lancaster, PA while visiting my grandparents. This one is really pretty--made of cut & folded plastic that opens like a paper fan. The edges clip together to hold it open, and it has little cutout holes to allow the warm white LED light to shine through. I can't wait to get this hung from our front porch this year! It's just so pretty!

I ordered this based on it's size and the fact it was illuminated. It was easy enough to unfold and install the lights but I hoped the star 'arms' would illuminate more. The picture is accurate as to what/how it illuminates itself. I believe this star would be fine for most trees that are at least 7' tall.

This Moravian star, which illuminate in a bright red, is made of heavy plastic that clips together to hold its shape. Everything required, bulb and all, are enclosed in the nondescript white box. When finished, it is large, and somewhat heavy, much larger than my hand at 18 inches.For my intended use, it will need to hang above my tree. For some reason, when ordering I thought I would put on the tree as a topper, but it is much too robust for my tree. But not to worry, it will hang suspended just fine.I think it looks great and I'm pleased I went with it.

This star seems to be made of some sort of heavy plastic (like coroplast), you bring the sides together like an old fashioned expandable ornament and there are two clips that hold it together. The bulb goes up in the middle. There is an on / timer / off button on the battery pack (it takes 3 AAs). I am not sure if I am going to use it or just throw it out. I am not impressed for the price.

I realize that the description says 18", but I guess I was not expecting it to be quite so, well, big.The size isn't really an issue. It's going on top of a big tree, after all. But the quality of it left a bit to be desired. For the price tag, I expected something a little more substantial feeling.The plastic is thick, but just feels a little flimsy regardless. I guess that has more to do with the way it unfolds than it does the material.It's nice and all, just not quite what I had in mind.

This is a really cool star. It is delicate though as it's made from like corrugated plastic material. The corners bend easily. The bulb is very very fragile and broke immediately or arrived broke. It's still usable in the sense that its battery powered. Great for a nativity star, large!

Super easy to assemble and then fold back up for storage. It accordions open and then two clips keep it in place.Very light weight so it won’t topple your tree- but we are going to hang ours over our front door on our covered porchIt’s battery operated and has a timer feature which is nice.Super pretty how the light comes through from the middle.
