Foundations Phonics: Easy Lessons for Early Learners

We are loving this phonics curriculum! We are using it for our 5 year old and he is doing so well with it. We had previously attempted 100 Easy Lessons and it did not work for us. This is so gentle in it's approach but still very thorough. It goes through all the basic phonograms and simple blends. Every lesson also has scripture incorporated into it. I feel like it's actually Bible and Phonics in one. It usually takes us about 10-15 minutes a lesson. I highly recommend this as a first step to learning to read. If your kiddo already knows all their letter sounds this is still for you, it starts blending sounds so your kiddo is starting to read short words in the third or fourth lesson. It's not only to learn the sounds. Master Books has created a wonderful curriculum that we are really enjoying!

Homeschoolers here! I wish I would’ve found this sooner for my oldest kiddo! We’ve used it now for two younger children, and it’s perfect for teaching sounds and sound blends. Your kiddo will be reading in no time!

We got this for our 4.5-5 year old to do, she's showing some reading readiness but doesn't know all her letter sounds. We are hoping to start this slowly before kindergarten to help her. We've had it for a few days and we like it so far.

This product is great and is a great resource for homeschooling. Price is great as well.

This book has been amazing, as myb7 year old has finally learned HOW to read. We love the Bible lessons blended with reading. I'm not a fan of some unnecessary repetition, or how sometimes the words introduced at the end are not connected with that lessons concept or word-family. Overall it's great, better than any of the other dozen or so curriculums we've tried.

I love this curriculum! Even more, my 5 year old loves this curriculum. I love the way it pulls in God’s Word into every lesson. We are 6 lessons in, and my daughter has learned the phonetics to several words she couldn’t get down with her McGuffey Reader. This pulls it all in using her imagination, read-aloud time, an activity pagew, and ideas for further sparking her interest in phonics. Even my 3, 7, and 9 year olds are drawn into it! Great buy from Master Books.

I have 3 of these for my grandchildren. They have really learned quickly. My nearly 5 year old is reading 3 and 4 letter words, my 4 year old is sounding out words and letters and my just turned 3 year old can identify every letter and its sound! They especially like the "extra" creative things in each lesson. I don't spend more than about 20-30 minutes at a time 3 times per week on this. I recommend this program. It's great! And I like the Christian theme, too.

Definitely not overwhelming for my 3 year old! This curriculum has a gentle approach, it goes through all the letters of the alphabet and the different letter sounds, beginner reading, cvc words and I love it because we really wanted a Bible base phonic curriculum! We love the Bible stories and activities. The lessons are interactive, simplified and adaptable! There’s also a daily schedule to help you stay on track. Totally open and go approach.
