Mego Action Figures Toys (A Schiffer Book for Collectors) Paperback – Box set, January 1, 2001

Bought this hoping for some high quality images of all the various Mego 1970s products. This is a decent list of items by manufacturers number, but the limited number of images are not very good quality. In addition, for a book that’s gone through multiple editions there are a ton, and I mean a TON of flat out grammatical mistakes and misspelling.So still worth picking up due to the fact there aren’t many options out there on Mego (unlike Star Wars from the same era.) So take it for what it is, enjoy a little nostalgia, and accept it for what it is.

i bought this book largely for nostalgic reasons, i was a mego kid back in the seventies, i wanted to see what i had, what i wanted, what i never got, what i missed entirely! little did i know that we are in the midst of a full blown mego revival! lots of toy companies are currently producing new figures in the mego style! some companies, like diamond select, are re-producing old mego figures! this book is right on time! lots of photos, lots of info, its actually a fun read! so if youre not familiar with mego, or youre a mego kid like me, get this book! highly reccomended!

Good Book with many photos... However price guide is from 2001 and I found many grammatical errors. Still, I enjoyed the book immensely

This is a great reference to almost all of the megos you can think of and great info on them also.

Great book for reference it includes a history of how mego came to be & evolve at the beginning of the book.I have recently started collecting mego figures & this book will be invaluable in helping me complete figures correctly & not end up buying some from eBay that have been mismatchedSuperb photos which include rare & prototype figures & packaging

Very good book. Lots of color photos helping illustrate the history of Mego's product line. I also liked the price guide giving the reader an approximate idea of the value for different items (even if we're a couple years after the fact a ballpark figure still helps). I only wish more photos were taken such as the famous Wayne Foundation Tower playset for Batman and Robin in which the book only shows the box it came in. All in all, a great read and way to sit with a coffee and harken back to a fun time!

The book is in great shape, except, it has highlights inside it and along the edges. ???Clearly this has been owned by someone but the product description was “New”. Very strange.

Lots of pictures, but much of the information is years out of date. Much of this can be found on the internet (specifically valuations) in a much more current format.
