Definitely Useful in the rain
I use a jansport backpack for school and its definitely not waterproof.Got the chance to actually use this the other day when I was walking in between my classes. Umbrella does help but sometimes you get those windy rainy days and my bag gets all wet.This definitely worked to protect my homework and papers from getting wetThe size varies, the one i got was kinda too small, I had to really stretched it to get it to fiit

Well Made Rain Covers! (Sizes Run Small, Though!)
Getting two is a great value: Black makes your bag more modest (great for covering your bag when it's sitting in your vehicle, so it's not as easily seen); orange makes your bag more visible, which could be a lifesaver in bad weather when you're trekking in the urban jungle!I got the XL size for my Condor Three Day Assault pack; they fit...almost; I concur with other reviewers regarding size. Nevertheless, they're well made. Perhaps a next generation could include loops for running para cord or strap through to help secure cover to bag when the cover doesn't quite fit.Maybe rain covers are like bed sheets: Buy a size larger than what you have so you can be sure they'll cover the entire surface area.

Worked well, but smaller then expected
Used these rain covers in the rain and they worked well to keep my pack dry and stayed in place. However, they were much smaller than expected and I had to use both of them just to cover my 40L pack.

Keeps my daughters things dry in her backpack at college. Especially her computer.

Won't stay at the top of the backpack.
It's a great idea to make a raincoat for the backpack. However, the designed does not work. Every time you lift up the back straps, the top part of the cover will slip off. Have yet to find out if it is really waterproof.

Kept everything dry but it ripped
After the first use the cover ripped when being put over a kelty redwing 50 bag. The look was great and fit seemed great but did rip. It did keep everything dry and thats the reason I gave 3 stars.
