Unfortunately, the products are not the same at all depending when you order or maybe on the size. Size 8 and 11 with velcro were perfect a few months ago. Bought now a size 9 and a size 12 (gusset then velcro). The gusset were fine and good quality.The ones with velcro are just awful: there is a huge amount of glue visible all around the shoes, like glue leaking and on both pairs, the sole is smelling horribly after a few days spent outside and I can tell I will have to buy new ones as I am sure this glue won't keep the shoes together for long. But it is not free refund so no value for money if you receive the wrong product. I will order other ones.

I ordered these plimsols in a size 2 and they accidentally sent a size 12.When emailing I had no apology for the inconvenience, a simple send them back then - at my cost. Well it would cost me nearly as much to send them back as it would to have purchased them in the first place.If it was me changing my mind I would understand, but it was there error yet they have made no effort to help sort this. Avoid!!!!!!!!!!

I have bought plimsoles for a few years now, these are by far the worst. You open the bag and my gosh! they stink! I could not put them in my 4 year olds PE Bag, it would stink out the whole classroom neer mind her putting them on her feet and them being mixed in with her PE Kit in her bag. I had to return them as I just could not do it. I waited a week or so of them sitting in the pantry before actually printing the return lable out in the hope the smell would dissipate, and whilst it did a little; it was still quite strong and could not bear the thought of the smell getting into her PE clothes in her PE Bag and her smelling like that.

Purchased for my granddaughter who is starting school but she has teeny tiny feet and we couldn't find plimsolls small enough anywhere else. We are really pleased with the size 6 they stay on her feet and are great quality what a life saver and bargain! X

Shoes arrived late, they seem to fit fine but they absolutely stink! I took them out of the package and was hit in the face with an overpowering smell of plastic & fish! Popped them in my daughters school bag only for it to end up absolutely stinking and now her feet stink after wearing them...Safe to say I’ll go to the supermarket and pick up some new indoor school shoes that will be cheaper and not smell!

The shoes are fine for the price, but I had ordered the Fastening shoes and instead received the Slip-ons. When I informed My Shoe Store of this, their offer was 20% off the shoes that I hadn't even wanted, or to post them back and make a new order for the Fastening shoes. When I responded that I thought the appropriate gesture would be to replace the shoes for free, as it was their mistake, I didn't hear anything back from them - this was now 4 days ago. Regardless of the situation, I think to completely cut communication with a customer is bad customer service, and suggests that other customers may have the same experience.

These plimsolls/pumps are well made, they look robust and the Velcro fastener is strong. They are however a much wider fit than I’ve found with my daughters previous ones, this makes them a little sloppy for her to walk in. They are for her to wear in class (school policy at the moment) rather than PE so they should be fine as she will be mostly sitting whilst wearing them.Good shoes but run wide.

Our 6 year old is very fashion-aware. So following a long search he determined these were the shoes he wanted.The disappointment was big when they arrived, despite taking good notice of the size, they were too small. Also the shoes, the interior material and certainly the soles are different than on the product listing page.The appearance and quality seems to match the price point so can’t fault that. But we had to return, which was costly.
