A useful basic guide - but only has US measurements
I was annoyed to find that this book only uses US measurements so anyone in uk will have to convert ounces and fluid ounces to grams. Making sensor of the book also involves converting that bizarre US measure, the ‘cup’, which is a nightmare, as a cup of flour is a vague measure. A ‘cup’ measures volume and the same volume different flours weighs different amounts, so a cup of rye flour is not the same weight as a cup of white flour.The book is useful guide but of limited use, wish I’d bought one of the other beginners guides.
