Perfect surface to tile onto
I used these in a recent DIY project in the bathroom. I cut out the old damaged/uneven compressed floor board, replaced with pine T&G then overlaid these cement boards using the mega strength adhesive. I have never laid floor tiles before but it was really straight forward on this surface and the resulting floor is solid. As the walls were uneven I decided to line the walls using the 6mm boards, using a flexible tile adhesive you put 6/8 spots of adhesive on the board and using a spirit level apply the board square to the wall. This requires a little more time and effort but makes tiling a lot more straight forward especially around the window. NOTE don't make the mistake I did by leaning the boards against the wall in the garage......they warp! Store them flat on the floor to keep them nice and flat.

Warping issues
Bought these for laying over concrete substrate. Came nice and flat delivered on a pallet, but as soon as I removed them to cut/lay they start to warp slightly at the ends. Enough to make it difficult to set them and resulted in my floor being uneven so could probably do with using a floor levelling compound over the top.I agree with the previous reviewer in that if you prop them up against a wall they will warp even more.

Very good solution for the wooden floor (wooden planks)
Many houses have floor which contains wooden planks. It is very difficult to make it firm and even for many types of modern floor like tails or even laminate. I have in my hose this type of floor. Couple attempts to use different subfloors for laying laminate floor were very unsuccessful. Somebody suggested to me use No More Ply technology. I looked into it and idea looked very simple and attractive. One of the main part of this solution is this cement board. The board is very strong, precisely cut, well mage and reasonable light. I used more than 8 screws in some cases. For the long cuts I used No More Ply scoring knife (very fast and easy way to cut big pieces). For the small pieces better use Jigsaw with this blade: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000R5K6NE/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1The only thing that could somebody concern - the thickness of the boards in my case was 7.5 mm. For me this was OK, but if you have some limits in your floor thickness, please be aware of that.If you want the best result please use the whole solution No More Ply (all parts of this technology fits together very well).
