Quality Capo/Cejilla built to last a lifetime!
The Ramirez Guitar Capo by Tenor is an excellent and high quality capo/cejilla. I've played classical/nylon guitar for almost 20 years and this is one of the nicest wooden capos I've seen. Yes, it's pricey for it's "function" but it's very aesthetically pleasing and easy to put on once you've gotten down your technique. Pitch calibration is spot-on aided by the leather strap that keeps all the strings in tune. The only con is that if you are not used to playing wooden capos/cejillas, you may have to spend some time having to adjust your fingering position only because you may not be used to having a piece of wood/tuning knob stick out where you would normally have the "flatness" of a modern non-wooden capo. Other than that, it works and will really add a great touch of class to your guitar playing.

Great cejilla!
This traditional-style capo, or cejilla, is attractively assembled and appears to be well-constructed. I was eager to try it out on a second-hand flamenco guitar that I had recently come by. Since the holidays I've used it in several practice sessions and can attest that it is easily attached to the guitar, readily tightened and loosened, and the peg so far does not slip at all. There are claims that certain non-traditional capo brands can damage flamenco guitar necks, but this traditionally-constructed cejilla has yet to make a mark on my guitar. The sound from the capo-ed guitar is clear and thus far the strings do not require re-adjustment once the cejilla is tightened. Many tocaors and amateurs alike perhaps prefer the bare-bones Dunlop, with its thinner profile - in contrast this cejilla really looks 'muy flamenco.' In sum, I'm glad I have it, and look forward to putting in many more hours with it on the guitarra.

follow-up on previous Review
This is a follow-up Review to first Review when I received this item:Took a little getting used to.I was previously using a Dunlop Capo (7190 Bill Russell) -- the Dunlop had a quicker 'put on' and 'take off' when I needed to use it.This Capo rests on the fret board much better -- even coverage, doesn't slip around like the Dunlop. Also, with the Dunlop, if you didn't get it on in a perfectly vertical orientation, some of the strings would get 'buzzy' (my guess is due to the Dunlop using a piece of conical-shaped plastic/glass to press against the strings). With this Capo, it matters less if it is perfectly vertical. The flat surface of the wood rests on the strings, which yields more even pressure/coverage across the strings.Once you get used to the 'put on' and 'take off' mechanics of this Capo, the 'ease of install' becomes a non-issue.Great Product!AM

A quality crafted Capo
Beautifully crafted Capo. I been looking for a traditional capo that holds well, looks elegant, and can compliment the color of my flamenco guitar. Great quality too

Simple classic functionality
I have an antique capo of similar design. This is a modern version of an old style. It is attractive, simple and functional. In short, elegant.Update: I have just purchased another so I can have one in each guitar case. I have two Valeriano Bernal Flamenco Negra guitars and these capos function exceptionally well. I use the slim G7th Capos on my other steel string guitars, but for the fine classic lines of a traditional Adalusian instrument these capos are perfect.

Beautiful object.
This unique capo is as beautiful as it is functional. Actually, it may be more beautiful. I'm a traditionalist, so the friction peg mechanism was a lovely touch. The wood carving design may be fringe/tribal, but still a very unique capo. I love it.

Beautiful and well made Cejilla
First of all, this is not a "capo" but a "cejilla." A capo is usually some metal contraption used to raise the pitch of a guitar.A cejilla, however, funtions the same but is also a work of art. The Cejilla that I received from Tempo is very beautiful and, more importantly, works quite well and is very well made. If you are a guitarist who aspires to play true Flamenco, this Cejilla is a must.Don't mess around with anything less.

Beautiful Cejilla
My Capo arrived today. It looks just beautiful, on and off the guitar. The quality seems to be very good. It is easy to attach and stays put. I have not experienced any issues with the sound if the capo is placed correctly. I'm very happy with this product.
