I bought this microphone to have an extra when recording multiple voices at once, thinking that for the price it was worth not having to move mics around. I was blown away when I realized that it is better than all the other microphones we have (including an Audio Technica priced at $150). It does an excellent job with both vocals and instruments at capturing all of the sound.Pros:- Beautiful tone and quality of sound- Great range. With other microphones, if the vocalist was more than about 3 feet away the sound became very distant. With this mic I can record a small choir and it sounds like everyone is right up on the mic.- Low sound floor. The "hiss" sound always present (even in a silent room) is less than my other mics.- Sturdy construction- Low priceCons:- The only disadvantage I have notices is that, due to its ability to capture all sound, it picks up more unwanted background noise.

Its very crisp, too crisp I have a deepish and raspy voice and for my youtubd videos I want that deep tone but with this I sound 10 years younger no matter what settings and filters I use, I used a foam windscrren and it helps but it's still picking up too much symbolince and wisps even with a windscreen and pop filter. Great for people with clear clean voices but not for mine. Btw its a little staticy trying to pick up when I draw out my voice and tends to dip out when I say a word too long like when I say alllllrrrriiiiggghhhttttt real slow, raspy and deep. I bet it would be great for women.

I use this to record my Rupert Reads, I used it to record the adventures of buster bear and the adventures of Danny meadow mouse. You can use that to determine the quality of the recording. The mount with the mic broke, despite being made of metal. The Pop filter also doesn't work to stop popping sounds either. I had to buy both a new pop filter and shock mount. So if you are planning on getting this mic be advised that you may need to buy a new shock mount after a while and you will want to buy a real pop filter.

I have been using Rockville equipment for about 6 years now. This microphone has been used specifically for recording acoustic instruments, and it does a DAMN good job. The manufacturing is phenomenal as always, a great quality, affordable, durable, and very versatile microphone. The packaging is also quite nice, comes with a wind screen AND a pop filter, as well as an assortment of cables.Definitely recommend for people just getting into XLR audio.

This is one of those products I have to qualify with the antecedent performs well “at its price point”. It is built well; very solid. It is a very attractive mic from the body to the detachable, logo’d, metal pop filter and the sturdy, included shock mount. It feels like quality and performs pretty well... but... As a microphone to be used primarily for voice over work, the sound is a bit “tinny” to me. I have a very deep voice and had hoped for more warmth through mic. My workhorse mic is an AKG Perception 200 which has exceptional range and very warm vocal “lows”. My intention was to use this as a back-up mic but I don’t think it’s a good match with my voice. I believe it is more suited (sound wise) to higher toned singing voices and imagine it would perform well as a mic for an acoustic guitar or other acoustic instrument in a studio setting. I was a little disappointed when I contacted Rockville looking for a hard case or at least a recommendation of a hard case for the mic but they advised Rockville doesn’t make one and they had no recommendations for a third party case.Overall I’m happy to have the microphone as one component of my home studio, though I won’t use it much for my primary work in voice over and narration.

Its light not heavy like the dynamic microphones. I have yet to find my dynamic microphones to compare similarities and differences in detail. Though this microphone highly details every aspect of the vocal and makes a beautiful pop every time i clunk my chair or tapy foot. So i “tap tap tap it in” Oh wait no that Adam Sandler chiming in. Works great with iphone and Mac. Has a crisp as an apple crunch detail like its someone doing it or eating right next to me. I prefers using stereo mono headphone switches with volume knobs on each speak to adjust for when iphone splits it to two channels left channel right channel. So i can switch to mono every time i want to here both channels combined first i used noise gate to miss the background noises. Keep in mind best product for a lowest cost quality high micro studio i have found is this and Focus rite scarrlett pr any of them work well for playing and singing.

Excellent microphone. Sturdy, well built. Sounds great. I needed phantom power for this to work properly. I ended up combining this with a 15V pre-amplifier and it worked great. Windows 10 Pro, 64-bit. Had Realtek and default drivers, but was really quiet without external power.

es un buen microfono por el precio que estas pagando, con una buena captación aun estando a un metro de distancia, es necesario tener una fuente que nos provea fantom power 48v.principalmente lo que luce en este micrófono es el diseño

this thing is impossible to set up on my mac. there are no instructions and no videos on set up either. everytime i plug it in the jack, its detected as headphones???????

De lo mejor que hay con relación calidad-precio. A demás me llegó mucho antes de lo programado. Muy recomendado para estudio casero.
