Magical Beauties Coloring Book: Book 1

This is a FANTASTIC BOOK! Clean, crisp design. Beautiful balance of symmetry, unique creativity and fantastical imagery. Each single-sided drawing has a name on the facing page to inspire the colorist: Blessed Empress, Fab Faun, Warrior Chieftess, Mistress of Mysteries, and so many more. While there is grayscale shading it's not the obtrusive grayscale that you find in a lot of books, this is more "guiding"' and/or "background" grayscale which leaves the colorist free to shade and blend to their hearts desire. I fully intend to color EVERY PAGE in this wonderful book.. there simply are no average pages, they are ALL extraordinary! The paper is medium weight. I have used Prismacolor Premiers (blends well with a colorless blender on this paper with NO residule white spots), Water-Color Markers (does bleed through, but a sheet of cardstock behind keeps the next page unmarred, and don't "scrub" with your markers and it won't peel the paper), and Alcohol Markers (I use two sheets of cardstock behind, just to be on the safe side as alcohol markers bleed through every kind of paper), and the paper performs like a champ! I will DEFINITELY be ordering Magical Beauties 2 and 3, as well as Cristina McAllisters "Lumina Chronicles" and "Lost Lumina" Books. FABULOUS ARTIST, FABULOUS BOOKS!

This is a wonderful, fun, and well drawn coloring book. Cristina certainly has a great imagination and passes it on to you by giving you unlimited color imaginations. This book is super because the pages are single thus there will be no bleed through to the next page. Whether you decide to use colored pencils, markers, or even crayons this is a magical book.

This was my first book to purchase from this artist. She is fantastic. The designs are intricate, interesting, beautiful and fun to color. I look forward to coloring all the designs in this book and purchasing more books soon.

It is a striking book. I love how the faces are big in this book. I also love how she has provided coloring tips, and step by step instructions on how to color the gray-scale in this book. It is somewhat different from other gray-scale coloring books, because it is not realistic photos, or gray-scaled art pieces. It is somewhat in between line art and gray-scale. Cristina is a digital artist, so all the lines are crisp. The pictures themselves are striking, yet elegant, and simple, yet complex at the same time. She takes a lot of basic simple shapes and lines, and arranges them into these complex looking images. The result is a coloring page that will seem like you have spent days on, when in truth only a few hours. The book is create space printed, and has the same paper as in Bennett Kline's books. Other than paper quality, the only thing I wish were different is, I wish she had included more hair to color. The head pieces and ornaments are wonderfully beautiful, and maybe in future she can find a balance between exposed hair and the headpieces. In the copyright info, she has given permission to copy the images for your own use. Many artists do not do this. So thanks to Cristina for thinking of this. I would post a few pics, but I haven't colored it yet, as I just got it today, and she requests that no uncolored images be posted. Which I understand. But you can see colored images of this book on the other listing, and she has a great flip through on her YouTube, as well as coloring tutorials, and making of videos of this book, if you would like to see more before purchasing.

These are my favorite coloring books, one sided pictures on quality paper, only complaint is I couldn't tell by their ONE picture if I had this one or not so ended up w 2 but I'll use it just have to wait to try again

The artwork is beautiful. The pages are thicker and I've had no issues with the ink bleeding through onto the next image. There is a Book 2 I'm ordering this week.

This is the same book that was previously sold with a different cover. So I ended up buying a second of the same book with a different cover. I was unable to tell that it was in fact, the same book. Very disappointing. My first book was packed away from moving so I couldn't grab it to look at it.

This artist books are well worth the money.

Sehr sehr schöne Motive und ich finde es toll, dass es auch ein paar Tipps zur Einleitung gibt. und dass alle Motive auch mit so Schattierungen ausgestattet sind, die man sogar hinten vorab mit verschiedenen Farben testen kann. Das macht alle Motive viel lebhafter.
