About 30 mm left open, evenings are now cooler than 17C.Not sure weather to put it in the fridge and test. Bought for family and so not on site.It is definitely screwed in as far as possible, an extra 20mm of thread would have excellent.

I purchased two window openers a number of years ago but the pistons have started to stick a little. I have found the window openers absolutely brilliant, windows start to open as the greenhouse temperature approaches 20C and open fully giving good air flow. Ideal for temperature control in the summer months

It was a perfect replacement at a good price. Took 5 mins to install and works very well. Very pleased.If you need to replace one of these take the old one out and look very closely at it and you should able to pick out the stamped product code. Google this and you should get the right replacement

Great replacement for a unit which had started to leak and became inoperable. The cylinder was quite a few days late getting to us but this was a Royal Mail issue rather than the supplier as we had notification that it had been dispatched a couple of days before the promised date
