this is an interesting little gimmick and while i've seen freeze dried "astronaut food" ice cream for sale many times over the years this is the first time i've had the chance to actually try it.it's a bit like eating a mix of honeycomb and nougat at the same time, it's not unpleasant but it gets a bit gooey and stuck in your teeth.the flavour is ok and it kind of tastes like the bit of the ice cream as it melts on your tongue when it's still frozen.i was fairly middling about the experience but my partner enjoyed it a lot.i think as a gift for a kid it is a fun little snack but buying for myself i'd just go for regular ice cream every time.

These come very nicely presented - they come in their own cardboard container to protect the item from getting squished which is a nice touch.These are very tasty and bursting with flavour - it really is as if you are just eating vanilla ice cream.. but dry! They're incredibly moreish, and have an interesting texture. Very dry and crunchy, sort of reminds me of charcoal (due to the colour mostly) and after going through half of the pack, I did need to drink an entire bottle of water!I am very interested in trying the chocolate flavour next!Would recommend these, certainly worth a try!
