I've used these outside in an exposed area for a couple of months and they've held up well. After two months, all the bulbs are still working and none have started collecting water inside. Nice soft white color. Comes with 2 spare bulbs. Recommended.

These string lights have made my rooftop patio such a nice hangout spot. The warm glow makes it feel inviting as soon as the sun starts to set.They were easy to string along the railing and fence - the 30 foot cord reaches all the way around. Setting up took less than 15 minutes.I love that each light is a classic globe shape. Together they give off a lounge-y backyard party vibe. Perfect for relaxing with friends. Also greatly withstand weather as they're waterproof and lived through many thunderstorms

Easy to install, festive, creates nice ambiance for back terrace by canal.

Thankful the bulbs are shatterproof. The lights are just right, not too big, not too small and the length is great. I would guy again

I bought these for a party to hang over the small back patio of my townhouse. As it turns out, I've kept them up for 3+ weeks now and don't foresee taking them down unless I absolutely have to. They work perfectly, provide a nice warm glow for summer evenings spent outside, and generally make the patio a little prettier.The bulbs are packed separately and you'll need to screw them in individually either before or after hanging the wire. I did mine first and didn't have any problems. They've held up well in a couple of rainstorms now and are still going strong. Also having one empty socket or bad bulb doesn't cause the whole strand to die.A couple of things that kept me from giving them a full five star rating:~ The bulbs are EXTREMELY fragile. Much more fragile than a regular light bulb. I barely touched one against the edge of the ladder when I was hanging them and it shattered into a zillion tiny pieces. I had to use pliers to get the base out.~ The box comes with exactly 50 bulbs, no spares. I broke the one above, and one of them was bad straight out of the box. I was able to strategically move the empty/bad sockets so they weren't noticeable, but I would recommend that you order a box of extra bulbs at the same time, just in case.~ The plug end is literally 3" from the first bulb. There is no leader of wiring to give any wiggle room to get to an outlet. I wound up having to run an extension cord halfway up the wall to plug them in. I plan to install an outdoor outlet at the roof line sometime this fall which will fix that, but in the meanwhile the extension cord is kind of ugly. YMMVThose are minor things, though, and overall I give these a full 4 stars. I love them.

Just enough light without being bright.

I don't know what people meant when they wrote that these lights are fragile... I found them to be sufficiently robust, withstanding some light knocks while being hung. After powering up, a few of the bulbs weren't working. This was resolved in every case simply by tightening them half a turn.All told, I'm very happy with these lights

The best part of these bistro/string lights is they only have a 6-inch lead with a male plug and a 6-inch tail with a female connector. This was ideal for me as the bulbs are spaced 12 inches apart and I needed to connect two stands but didn't want to have this huge gap of lights where the two stands met. When I connected the two strands it was seamless and the spacing was just as it should be to keep it consistent. When I received the lights I had a couple of the shatterproof bulbs dented. I contacted customer service and they were happy to send me some replacement bulbs so I didn't have to return the lights. Super happy with Brightown.

We bought these lights to string them along the inside border of our patio gazebo they came with a very good system that made it easy to string them up in any pattern you see fit the light bulbs are light bulbs and are very susceptible to breaking obviously the actual unit itself the wiring seems to be all intact and all the receptacles where the light bulbs plug into did come in working order we did not have any burnt bulbs or any receptacles that didn't work all in all a good product depending what you're using it for product works indoor and outdoor wouldn't recommend leaving it outside in the cold winter though

I have had this for about 8 months now, and leave them on a timer set for 8 hours a day. Only 1 bulb has burned out. I live in Ottawa, and kept this on my balcony, so these bulbs have endured a lot of snow, rain, cold, and heat. From -20c to 40c.The warm colour can be seen from kilometers away. Everyone knows which balcony is mine when they see my building. It's not too bright to hurt the eyes though. It's a nice chill kinda light for drinks or a patio. I have a small table and sit near the lights.It's long, too. I looked at the replacement bulbs and it seems I can get a 25 pack for 30 - great value!

These lights are sweet. They are a lot smaller than I expected but they are lovely. Since they are so small they don't give off a ton of light. The light they give off is quite nice though. Its a soft warm glow. My only wish is that they were a bit bigger and brighter. Also an on/off switch would be good too. These have to be plugged in. All and all though they are nice lights. They came packaged very well and came quickly too!

Great set that lasted a few years being out year round in all weather, including lots of rain. There is no ground on the plug on this model, but theres a fuse that’s easily accessible but once it blew, seemed to need replacing on a frequent basis, which is a headache. Would recommend getting a set that has a 3-pronged ground plug to solve this problem.

I have been looking for lights like this for awhile but wasn't sure if they would work for an indoor space. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised how well they fit my living room.I have a suspended office style ceiling, so I was able to hook the lights along the grid/frame. I bought the 50ft. length, which was more then enough for my small living room. Super easy install & even came with extra lights! Completely changes the feel of the space when the lights are on. Very happy with this purchase!
