Substantial fabric weight,textural flat weave fabric, similar to waffle weave only better. No lint left behind on the wine glasses. Very absorbent. Large enough size that you can hold a dish at one end with the towel and use the other end of the towel to dry with so that you are not touching the dish with your hands. The color (red) does not run or fade, even after several hot water washes. The edge stitching is straight and sturdy. I use a machine dryer on gentle (to keep the house cool and to save energy) and only the ends wrinkle a little, but they can be smoothed out by hand if they are folded right out of the dryer. The weight and lint free absorbency are on the same level as Garnier -Thiebaut (also from France ) or any of the best pure linen. I have used both of those products for over 10 years. Highly suggest to give these a try, the price for this kind of quality is a relief compared to the others. The simple color pattern and saturation of the color works well with my white & pine cabinets.
