Guitar VERY Different from Description
The guitar itself is nice, but it is different from what is described. I ordered two colors and here is my review:BLUE: The bridge is much lower-spec than the 2-point trem mentioned multiple times in the description. The seller is aware of the issue, but was not willing to correct it. UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer as well. They said they would address this, but have not.SURF GREEN: same issue with the bridge, but the photos show an entirely different model from what they're actually selling. The photos show the Affinity, which costs at least twice as much. But, this is actually the Debut. The headstock, tuners, logo, neck, neck plate, electronics, pickups and finish are all very different from what's shown in the listing, and are lower quality than the listing represents. Both colors: This is a Squier Debut, but it is not listed as such. See the Debut for accurate specs. Note: one of the 6 listings for these guitars uses the word Debut one time, but the other issues have not been addressed or corrected.Daphne blue: It looks nice, but the blue almost makes it look like a toy. Both: No fret sprout (update: fret sprout has emerged, but humidity is low this winter, so that is likely the cause. The wood may not have been fully dried prior to manufacturing. The tuners are OK, but I'll need to upgrade them. The pickups are fine and the bridge is decked so it should be a hardtail IMO. Why install a trem if the trem is not set up or expected to function? The neck feels nice. If these were as advertised, I'd rate them higher. Overall, these are both Debut models, which the box also indicates. But, they are not being sold or priced as such. This is very odd and I expect more from Fender.

This is actually a great guitar
Be sure you understand that the item you will receive is a "Debut" model. in this case it's a limited edition color.now that I've had the guitar for a few days and had a chance to really go over closely, I'm amazed at the quality. It's VERY easy to spend several hundred dollars more and not get a guitar that's any better. Fit and finish are very good. Pickups are always going to be a matter of opinion, but I like them. I decided to leave the original strings on it for now and see how things go. the set up out of the box was good,,intonation is surprisingly good. I had to retune it several times the first few days but now the need to retune is much less frequent. Bottom line: this guitar is either seriously underpriced or everything else Fender makes is seriously overpriced.

Can't beat the price...
I've been performing and playing 15-20 years, but recently gave it up for unknown reasons. I only played acoustic. After 4 years of not playing a lick, I picked it back up. I decided to try electric for scales and learning to solo. This is exactly what I needed. Love the color (green) for my music room as well.

Bought for my son and so far so good.

Do I get any credit back?
There’s a stress crack on the guitar body by the neck.

Definitely the Debut series and not an Affinity series
Just be aware that this looks like it is a Squier Affinity from the photo, but it is definitely a variation on the new Squier Debut series. But a little more expensive for some reason than the other colors.

Plays good out of the box
Tone is sweet for the price.
