Great book by the late & great Stan Lee
Amazing book for anyone wanting to start off with some comic illustration. Stan Lee was a big inspiration for me when I was growing up and this book helped me out big time with my art. I would highly recommend.

An essential book for any would-be comic artist.
An absolute essential guide for learning how to make comics.I've had multiple copies of this book over the years since I was a child, this one was bought as a gift for a friend who is learning to draw. Its a great jumping off point that covers all the basics, from anatomy, to perspective, to scene composition. It's a truly wonderful book.

Excellent beginner's advice
This book is great but not perfect. What it does give you is terrific drawing advice for the absolute beginner in all things pertinent to drawing comics and heroes. The basics of perspective are covered, along with plenty of rules of thumb and tips from drawing humans. And all this is delivered with drawings of Marvel's mightiest and the amusing words of Stan Lee. The downside is the inking section is rather brief and there is no discussion of colouring or letters (just to help, there are special, professional felt-tip-like pens for the former purpose). Also, while the advice given is fantastic, it is rock-bottom basic. There is little to nothing for the intermediate student. However, for me, who is a beginner, I really like this book and the clear layout and instruct are well worth the price of admission.

Does whatever a spider can
Opened once, flicked through from front to back, started with mild excitement around page 14, by page 114 couldn't wait to draw a perfect rendition of Spidey...guessing you have to bear with it. Book is now in as new condition in a plastic tote somewhere in my 2 up 2 down extended terrace. Back to trying to convince the misses to pose in a life sketch however with my less than competent HB skills it'd likely lead to another argument amongst easels, pencils, sharpeners, erasers and A2 paper

useful book for budding comic book artists
I used to own this book many years ago but lost it and just had to buy another copy. It has lots of useful advice, good illistrations and covers mostly what you need to know to get started in drawing a comic book page (in marvel style). It dosen't cover colouring and inking is only the basics but otherwise its a fun book to read (written by the great man himself Stan Lee!)

Great book, worth a read and worth working through
Requested by my daughter, used by both of us. We'll never reach Marvel standard, but this is a great book for starting/improving our comic drawings, and gives an insight into how the professionals set about their drawings. Worth reading even if you can't draw (and I most definitely can't!)
