Works Great, Applicator Could Use Some Rethinking
I've always trusted Clinique for skincare, so I had high hopes for the Acne Solutions Emergency Touch Stick. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it effectively reduced the size and redness of a stubborn pimple within a day. The formula itself is gentle enough for my sensitive skin and seems particularly useful for calming irritation quickly. However, the major downside—and it seems I'm not alone here—is the applicator design. You have to press down quite hard on a stiff plastic mechanism beneath the sponge tip, which can be painful, especially if your acne is inflamed or tender. Initially, I mistakenly assumed it was pressure-activated and ended up hurting myself a bit. Now, I've adjusted by dispensing the product onto my finger first, which feels more comfortable and hygienic. The product has a strong scent of witch hazel, the primary ingredient, which doesn't bother me, but could be off-putting to others. Though it's effective, I do question whether the convenience of the applicator justifies the premium price, especially considering similar formulas available at lower costs. Overall, it’s a reliable product for emergencies, but a redesign of the applicator would significantly enhance the experience.

Poor applicator design
The actual design on this Emergency Touch Stick is poorly executed and not well thought out. The applicator tip is a sponge, but you have to depress an internal hard-plastic mechanism inside to release the liquid every time. If you’ve got a sensitive pimple, the last thing you want to do is jab it with something hard — and pointy — to avoid popping it and possibly getting pus all over the sponge tip. How hard is the inner plastic? It’ll leave a mark/indentation on the skin each time I press it down. There’s also no way around it, as the exterior casing is also hard plastic, so you can’t squeeze the sides to get the liquid out. The only other workarounds I found were to depress it on my finger first and then dab the liquid on, or use it on another part of my face first, not where the pimple is.While the actual acne solution is effective, it’s primarily a combination of witch hazel and salicylic acid, so you can find other brands with the same active ingredients for much less — and with an easier application method.

Works well
The Clinique Acne Solutions Emergency Touch Stick is a great spot treatment for tackling blemishes as soon as they start to form. It works quickly to reduce redness and swelling, helping to shrink breakouts before they fully develop. The formula is effective without being overly harsh, and I’ve found it to be a reliable addition to my skincare routine whenever a pimple threatens to appear. It’s definitely a useful product to have on hand for emergencies. However, the applicator design could use some improvement. The rigid tip requires pressing directly onto the blemish, which can be uncomfortable, especially on painful, inflamed breakouts. A softer or more precise applicator would have made the experience much better. Despite this drawback, the formula itself delivers great results, so I’ll continue using it, but I've started dispensing the product onto my finger instead of using the built-in applicator.

Good for travel
I love the idea of travel friendly skincare that I can just throw in my bag and take on the go for when I need it. This treatment works really well for when you have a spot on your face and it is works quickly and affectively. The scent isn’t overly strong but it does smell like witch hazel. I don’t love the applicator though, it is very hard to press and isn’t the most comfortable to press down on your face. This is convenient for having on hand when you need it.

Needs a better head
I found it slightly hard to get a proper amount of product on a spot where I wanted to see if it works and for how long I needed to wait for results. I think the applicator needs a new design. It’s pretty soft and you really need to push on it to get anything out of it and onto your skin. I’d prefer a spray that’ll get an even layer to the area I need it on. Now it does work as it seemed to wipe away a zit that was developing on my arm. Overall I’m happy but wish it was easier on my wallet

Works decently well, had issues with applicator
This product works decently well. The most important thing: I did notice that after using this some of my acne spots started clearing up. It's not irritating, no scent, and it's small and can be brought along in a purse (important for an "emergency" touch up stick). The one downside - I had issues with the applicator as some other had. I just couldn't really tell if product was going on, if I was using too much, too little, etc. I had to press down hard to really feel it. I assume with something like this you only want to apply a little product but I at least want to know when I am applying the product.Overall, I would rate this average. It has potential with how well it works but the design of the applicator needs work.

helps
I like this touch stick and find the formula really does help with the occasional breakout that I experience. Like others have mentioned it is quite hard to depress the applicator but I typically use my nail to press down before applying which has helped but it is a bit uncomfortable if you have a painful pimple. I do like that this formula really helps minimize a little pest overnight and has been gentle on my sensitive skin. I think this is still worth it with the applicator being a little firm.

Don't buy it; I'd like to return it.
The liquid is almost impossible to get out of the sponge tip
