The spring is a bit weak and the antenna collapses at speed

Absolute junk, guess that's what you get for being a cheap skate !SWR on 70cm - 3.0SWR on 2m - 2.5SWR on 10 and 6m - infinity.The antenna was used on a solid rail mount with a great earth that easily handles my 40m ampro.No amount of adjustment made the slightest difference.

a usefull antenna for quad band radios covers 10, 11, meters with a extended tip with 6 meters 2 meters and 70 cms , the antenna is vey top heavy and the lay down mecanism spring is not strong enough for motorway speeds and the antenna flips to its lay down position at speeds over 50mph which is a pain , a quick solution to this was to drill and tap a thread to fit a small grub screw to lock it in place and when fold over is required loosen the screw and fold over as normal , overall this is a compromise antenna that works quite well on 70cms 2 meters 6 meters and 10 meters , but do not expect very long distances on 6 and 10 meters , but has worked some skip mobile this summer

This is similar in construction to the Comet antenna after which it is named; however, I could not get the VSWR below 5.0 on 6m by any tuning per instructions. The VSWR didn't change at all. It worked OK on 144/440 (which don't require tuning) but just OK - not up to Comet standards.

Would not tune on 10m,,,, and 6m was iffy

Bezeichnung CR-8900 und auch Artikelbeschreibung weisen Quadbandantenne für 10m, 6m, 2m und 70 cm Band aus. Geliefert wurde jedoch nur Dualband 2m und 70cm. Dafür viel zu teuer.

Schlichtweg nicht brauchbar. Auf UKW schlecht gegenüber 30-40cm langen Magnetanennen (locker 2 S-Werte drunter). Auf 10m Stehwelle >1:5, also komplett unbrauchbar, auf 70cm im unteren Bereich auch viel zu hohes Stehwellenverhältnis. Ließ sich auch nicht abstimmen.Die Verarbeitung ist auch katastrophal. Kurzum sehr teuer Schrott.
