Good quality, but NO ZIPPER CLOSURE AT THE END. (It is open-ended, like a typical Pillow CASE...)
I previously bought a buckwheat pillow from Beans72, along with a cover, about ten years ago. I decided to buy a second pillow recently, to keep at another family member's home. I assumed the pillow cover I ordered here on Amazon would be the same as what I received ten years ago. But, alas, it appears that (currently) Beans72 is not offering the Zippered version of cover on Amazon, for the 14 x 20 pillows. As Americans know, most or all 'pillow covers' in the US are Perfectly Sized to correspond to the pillow itself and they Zipper Close. I've never seen a pillow cover that did Not zipper. This cover is in the style of a pillow Case and so one end is Open. In addition, this cover is about 4" Longer than the Japanese style 14 x 20 pillow. So after I put this cover on, I then put an actual pillow case/sheet over it, and which matches the actual bed sheets on my bed. What you end up with, then, is a pillow covered by two 'pillow cases' more or less. The first pillow case is the thick cotton case from Beans72, and then your own bedset pillow case. If you then want your pillow to look 'perfect', especially for guests, you have to reach inside a bit to straighten out the open end of the inside pillow case. This also means that you can more readily SEE the excess fabric inside your pillow.I feel that a CLOSED, ZIPPERED pillow cover provides a cleaner, finished look to your pillow/case and that it's more smooth looking overall. But net, net, I suppose I can't complain. The pillow itself is great, as is the cover, and of excellent quality..I just didn't want anyone to be as surprised as I was, that this is Not a zippered/closed pillow cover...

Beautiful fabric is very comfy
I love this fabric! I will probably try dying it to suit my taste with RIT. I’d love to know where i can find more of this fabric for my sewing pleasure. My Japanese sized pillow from BEAN72 is awesome and the best i can find to relieve CNH ear pain.

The best quality compared to the other options.
I've tried to save money with other replacement covers only for them to last a little over a year, but you get what you pay for. With these, the comfort is a huge step up, they are really well made and I like the look of the quilt. Very nicely done.

Pillow Search Over
I started with personal size, to try it out. Instead of spending more $ on a larger pillow, and being disappointed. I've bought 8 different style of pillows over the past year, from Walmart (non buckwheat). Unsatisfied. After I took roughly 4 cups of hulls out of pillow, my neck has stopped hurting, when I get up. It does hold its position, slightly noisy at first. Can adjust it, to whatever you want, and it holds. I'm very happy with it. And, eventually, get bigger size.

Quality, thick, quilted cotton pillow cover for Japanese-sized pillow.
Lovely and well-made thick, cotton pillow cover which fits perfectly on the Japanese size buckwheat hull pillow. It lasts and lasts as the other one I have was purchased along with my previous Japanese Aromatherapy Buckwheat pillow many years ago and is still holding up quite well. They launder and dry well, too. They are a bit pricey, but the quality is there to support the cost, so that takes some of the sting out of the cost.Thank you for taking the time to read this review. Have one made for yourself…
I ordered this because it was the only thing I could find that fit my buckwheat pillow, and because I thought it might provide a little padding against my face. It said it was quilted but turned out to be a textured fabric that wasn't really a uilted at all, except artificially. There is only one color available (white) and it is NOT cotton, but cotton lined with polyester. It would be nice if the maker of a unique size of buckwheat pillow would provide a cover to go with it. That seems reasonable, doesn't it? Instead, a toddler-size pillow slip or this are about all that work. And even then, not all toddler-sized pillows are the same size. Leaving that aside, this is not a good solution for my wonderful new buckwheat pillow, it's just about the ONLY solution. P.S. It's vastly over-priced.Update 7/21: I have now purchased several of these, if only because there was nothing else, and after several years they are just the same. Additionally, they wear out quickly. So take my advice: go to Etsy or somewhere and get someone to make one for you. You’ll get the right size, you can have any fabric you want, and ask for a zipper. And it will be worth what you pay for it.

Really Nice
I have the regular pillow case made by Beans72 and it's fine but when I saw this I thought I'd enjoy the thicker cover. I was right. Wish it came in colors and zipped or snapped at the end instead of having an open end but otherwise I love it. Adds just a touch of padding. I've washed it and dried it in the dryer and it comes out great. So far no piling, no stains and it's stayed soft and comfortable against my face.
