As a professional gardener I always buy equipment which is both comfortable and hard wearing and these pads tickboth of those boxes. This is why I have again purchased another pair of these to replace a duplicate pair I bought four years ago as recently lost one of the pads. On average I use these about ten hours a week and even the remaining pad I purchased four years ago show almost no signs of wear. This is surprising given they are mostly used on the most abrasive surfaces like pavements.These pads are only waterproof to a certain degree so you might get wet knees if using them for a long time on wet grass. One solution to this is to take out the padding (it is designed to come out) and place it in a freezer bag before putting it back. That way you still have the padding but without moisture getting through to your knees.The most positive aspects of these is they are comfortable, light weight, and flexible, which means they stay around the knee, unlike other brands which tend to move around , or change stance. They are so comfortable I sometimes forget to take them off at the end of a job.Both pads come with Velcro straps which are easy to work with even if you are wearing thick gloves.All in all, the best pads I have bought over the years

These are my favourites for allotment work. Comfortable and stay put on the knees. Only last a year at most as the elastic straps have stretched too far by then but not exactly expensive.

I prefer these type of knee pads to the memory foam ones, I've tried both over the years as a professional gardener and these give great protection and stay in place, easy to wash too.

I love these and purchased 2 lots of pads. It is Town & Country which denotes quality and durability. All the others I tried (even all the fancy, oddly shaped new ones) did not fit where padding was needed, but these do! They cover well below the knee nicely without getting in the way and just over the top of the knee which enables protection when kneeling forward as well. My last pair lasted 2 years of constant use. They are perfect! I highly recommend them, well worth the purchase!

I really don’t like these knee pads. I bought them because they were not expensive. I’m not sure which way they go up but both ways they don’t stay on your knees they ride around my legs. They are not thick enough to use outdoors.

These went back. The longer elastic to go round above the knee was sewn on the wide part which goes below the knee. If you put them on the way the elastic is stitched on, you have the main part above the knee and just about an inch below the knee!

I use these knee pads for gardening. They are essential for me and I find them to be both strong and comfortable to wear over trousers (the straps are not so comfortable if worn on bare legs!)
