This is a big, heavy, expensive book, but absolutely stuffed full of quality in its content and format. Total eye candy.

Smaller than I was expecting, with more writing, but a beautiful glossy quality book, a gorgeous wide range of photos and more reading than I had anticipated - but all in a good way! Delighted with it!

Good for the coffee table

I was rather disappointed when I received this extremely small 80 pages glossy book as I imagined it larger for that price...

I'm afraid I don't own this beautiful book but was lucky enough to borrow a copy. Elie Saab is a Lebanese fashion designer and Haute Couturier. Saab is self-trained and began sewing as a child. He says that he always felt inspired by the elegance and beauty of a woman.In 1982, Saab launched his Beirut based fashion label, at first his atelier specialized in bridal couture making wedding dresses and gowns using rich fabrics like lace with detailed embroidery, pearls, crystals and silk threads. His style is a unique fusion of western and eastern culture. He uses beautiful materials such as taffeta, organza, noble and satin paired with more fluid and light fabrics.In 1997 he showed his first collection in Rome, and in 1998, he started making ready to wear in Milan. His real breakthrough came when the film star Halle Berry wore one of his gowns at the 2002 Oscars/Academy Awards when she won for Best Actress. He became an overnight fashion superstar.In May 2003, the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture invited him to become a member, and he showed his first collection in Paris in July 2003. His first ready-to-wear collection in Paris was his Spring-Summer 2006 collection. Paris is now his permanent ready-to-wear runway.In 2010, it’s reported that Saab dressed 102 international celebrities for key global events. His creations can now be found all over the world and he launched his first fragrance in 2011 "Le Parfum" which became an overnight bestseller in 15 countries.He is one of my favourite designers of the moment and his beautiful clothes magnify femininity, his fairy-tale creations are made with the finest materials that feature, intricately detailed hand-embroidery, and a sophisticated fusion of cultural influences. Saab’s dresses skilfully highlight a woman’s silhouette. He turns a woman into a goddess.This book is brimming with gorgeous imagery and original photography, a beautiful book showing the best of contemporary Haute Couture. If you can afford it!

A dir poco meraviglioso! Non potevo farmelo sfuggire, soprattutto con il super ribasso era impossibile non lasciarselo scappare! Unica pecca...i 6 kg di peso!

Très joli petit livre sur l'oeuvre d'Elie Saab avec de belles illustrations. Pour le texte, il est en anglais, donc il vaut mieux connaître un peu la langue de Shakespeare.

Huge and heavy book. Just warning. But its gorgeous!

Sicuramente visto il prezzo molto basso non potevo aspettarmi un libro celebrativo completo, tuttavia sono rimasta lo stesso delusa!Le dimensioni sono ridotte (quasi quelle di un A5) e le pagine veramente misere!Il libro si divide in due paragrafi che raccontano sostanzialmente la vita dello stilista in prosa ed in inglese e gli abiti con immagini e quote virgolettate!Essendo le pagine così piccole non rendono giustizia ai capolavori sartoriali creati dallo stilista libanese e sinceramente Pinterest ne fornisce di migliori!Ad ogni modo per fare scena e per trovare ispirazione VALE!
