Precision Machining For Beginners: The Comprehensive Guide To Understanding The Machines, Tools & Programming

This needs an editor!
This is an odd book. Great explanations and great illustrations but it appears that it is the workbook for an engineering course that has been reproduced. (There is no copyright listed in the book) . It has no authors name printed in the book (but the author appears to have churned this out an identical book "Mastering CNC Machining ") or publisher and merely says "Manufactured by Amazon.ca".The book is broken down in Lessons which the table of contents lists as Chapters. There are no page numbers so when the Table of Contents says that the section of Taps (under the Chapter on CNC Tools) is at 3-6 you can't find (easily) Page 6 of Chapter 3. What you can find is SECTION 3.6 which is actually a couple of pages later and is Cutting Tool Fundamentals. What is listed as Appendix A (Work-holding Examples) is actually a series of projects for the student to make. There are Appendices (in the Table of Contents) on Planning Forms, G-M Code Reference, Glossary and a Drill Chart, but they are not actually in the book. With a little editing this would be a great book, if you can live with the current shortcomings it is a great introduction to CNC.The mystery deepens; this book also appears to be available with "Tammy l. Barraza" as the author (identical cover) and as "The Complete CNC Machining Guide: A Step-By-Step Guide To Building, Programming & Operation" (different cover and author).f
