Good product and good service.

This box was intended as my grand daughter's memento storage box. Just what we wanted - not babyish or soppy like some of the commercial offerings. Can be 'decorated' to our taste.

The Lacquered finish was not even and the locking system was very flimsy and not correctly positioned. Whilst the box size was perfect, the overall quality was not of a high standard in my opinion. I was very disappointed with the locking mechanism and surprised at the 'smudging' effect of the lacquer on the rear of the keepsake box.I had initially purchased it for use as a memorial keepsake box of a close loved one but the product did not match my expectations. Apologies but I do think the production company need to make design improvements

The box itself is OK I guess. It doesn't feel particularly sturdy but it'll be fine if you aren't planning to do much with it. I'm thinking about replacing the hinges at the back based on them being a) pretty thin looking and b) not even screwed on straight. And the catch at the front (from the product images and features table) looks like a hasp and staple kind of design which matches the design on the hinges at the back whereas what actually arrived was a really cheap little catch which is make of such thin metal that it bent out of shape from opening and closing the box one single time, so I'll be replacing that as well. Given how much they talk in the product description about quality and how they are better than the Chinese, it might have been good to follow through by actually using quality components, putting them together with care and actually delivering what they were advertising. Think twice before ordering anything from this company.

Disappointing because I couldn't open it! Having tried to prise the clasp I thought initially that it was stuck to the varnish but no, the pin used to fasten it had been screwed in too low down. It was only when I unscrewed the fitting that I realised this so I screwed the pin in a little higher, refitted and now ok. Not what you expect to have to do with a new purchase, even at this price. Looks sturdy though so should be useful.

Thanks for creating such a beautiful chest for me to store my treasures that I collect whilst enjoying living in my not new but not old home yet where I plan to enjoy the rest of my years if I can unless plan b works out just as well but got a lot to do before that's ready. It's great to have somewhere to store memories that might get lost if they're out in the open and able to get blown about by the wind that gets into this property in the countryside.

I purchased this item for my husband’s 5th Wedding Anniversary and I am very pleased I did,it’s light,sturdy and very well made.I have recommended this to a friend who loved it when she saw it
