Good seal for your garage door bottom.

I used this Great Rubber quality on my aluminum door. The rubber is a little longer than the actual size of the door. Put the Rubber down to see how much is left at each end - or figure with math. Do not do any cutting until you actually install it and knowing how much extra you can leave on each end. It was easier for me to install sitting on a chair with the door at the right height for me using a drill. You do have to use a drill bit first before using the screws. My nine foot door equaled about every six inches for a screw. You break this down by how many screws you get with the package or if you add more screws by choice. Then divide the number of screw with the width of the door. (12 inches = every foot) Then you can use a ruler to mark the door where you need to drill a hole. REMEMBER you should have a screw at each end of the door. I drilled all holes with a bit a little smaller than the whole screw. To Figure this out put the screw and the bit together and use the width of the screw (WITHOUT THE RIDGES ON THE SCREW). Just remember if the hole gets to big the screw will just fall out.The ridges are the threads to tighten the screw. If needed to fix you can drill another hole smaller or put liquid nails on the screw and insert the screw on the install after the rest are ready. With all the holes ready. Leave the extra rubber that you need on each end. I then began at one end pushing the screw thru the rubber where the hole is and then drilled it about half way in or until the screw held. Have patience it my take a little bit. I did the whole door like this. Then I had liquid nails for outside element's. Use gloves or you will regret it. This glue dries on the skin extremely secure and is thick which you may have to spread it on the rubber. Then I put a layer on the rubber before finishing the screws to a tight fit and worked great. BEWARE not to cut off the rubber at all until you really see what you need. To seal the door and the extra piece needed on the ends for the best fit. Bring the door down and cut a little each time the door wont close fully. It eventually will close with some extra on the end and there will be no gap. I made a mistake and cut one end short and there was a hole on the end where extra rubber would of helped to get a full seal on the door on the corner and into the garage. I had to put a piece of the extra rubber that I cut short on the inside on the wood frame. I used the liquid nails and did this with the door down. This worked out great so when the door came down there was no gap for anything to get inside the bottom of the door.

Beware, the product is different than what is shown in the picture. This product is not a "Hard-Rubber" at all. I would describe it more like a thin rubber/latex coating over a piece of medium density squishy foam. If you look closely in the picture you will see that the package actually says G16 in the bottom right corner, not G9 at all. I didn't notice this until after I received it. Another warning, if you look on Amazon at the actual G16 product you will notice the reviewers say that it is not hard rubber either. It seems this manufacturer used to make a hard rubber product, but has since changed to this different material. So if you are looking for hard rubber go with another brand.That being said, It's not poorly made or anything. It is lightweight and very flexible and a good price compared to anything you'll find at a store locally. For that reason I'll give it 3 stars. Though not what I was looking for, It is a decent product for what it is. My suggestion would be to try looking at website other than Amazon for a better description before you order.

Had a wood door where bottom was bad so had to improvise (and it turned out great).Attached shorter top side to back bottom of door (so longer side flipped under when closed).Used nails where we could, but since door bowed down we had to put glue (cla thick) on door, stretch, then spray accelerator on seal, then hold down for 10 seconds, put a tiny screw in (apx every 5-6 inches working area) and kept going. Really didn't take too long (a couple of hours).Surprisingly, where we glued looks so much better than where we nailed (you could see gaps looking down).Don't know how long it will last, but for the price, if I get 5 years, I'm happy and I'll do it again.

Home depot would have you special order the $45 special kit to seal the bottom of your garage door. I simply don't believe that such a simple thing would cost that much. So I researched and found this product, Frost King G9 Garage door bottom seal.This is just a piece of long rubber strip that you nail to the bottom of your garage door. Because of the design of long lip on 1 side (like in the picture), it totally blocks out whatever gap you have between your garage door and the grove on the ground.- It's very easy to install. You simply cut the rubber strip to the right size of your garage door width. Roll up your garage door, put the strip on the door bottom, and start nailing it down with the supplied nails.I used to have a problem where there is a visible gap even after my garage door is completely shut down. It's due the uneven bottom of my old door. With the gap, bugs and water could get in the garage. After I installed this product, because of flexibility of rubber, when I shut the door, it completely shutdown and fills the gap (even if it's uneven).Since it's so cheap, even if I have to replace this strip in a few years, it's easy to do.Highly recommended.

Very soft and sealed the bottom of my garage door well.

Soft rubber, easy to install.

No issues at all installing. When nailing 3@ apart, use a slight pull between nailing to give it tension so you won’t have slack.
