My boyfriend loved it.
Really cool keyboard with some OG xbox touches. My boyfriend wanted it for his PC set up and has been loving playing with all the features. Definitely a good buy.

I went with my gut and it paid off
The media could not be loaded. I’ll be the first to admit. I was HYPED when I say this for pre-order. But I waited to see what the reviews said before I bought it. I knew 8bitdo was a quality company from others but I’ve never owned a device from them. I also bought the halo edition Xbox ON RELEASE so I really wanted this thing to be good. The reviews were poor in the beginning. Most were about the software being trash and the rgb not working or being stuck on the brightest setting which washed out the letters making them unreadable. I felt this couldn’t possibly be true and that there had to be something missing. So… going against the reviews I bought one. Here is my journey:Upon opening, this thing was built rock solid and sounds excellent although I had to get used to having a loud keyboard because I’ve had quiet keyboards for at least 20 years now. The box and cable were all high quality too. When I plugged it in, I had the issue where the rgb wouldn’t work when following the directions. I had to go to the website to find the software because it wasn’t really obvious. When I downloaded it, I still didn’t have rgb. I believe I then went into windows settings for rgb control and it said I had to have firmware v1.5 to run it but my firmware was at 1.3. I am writing the all from memory two weeks later so the exact version may or may not be correct. After hitting update firmware, I was told 1.3 was the latest available. So I decided to give it a nights rest.Next day, I opened the software and 1.5 was available to update and once I did, everything worked as advertised! The rgb settings are great and allow lots of customization. The analog volume button is ok. It will go down many times when winding clockwise. The signal switcher is great when cabled. The Bluetooth works fine although it will lose connection sometime to my pc, but this may be on my end because it’s had some notorious Bluetooth problem. I haven’t tested the 2.4ghz dongle but it’s been a reliable option over many years so I assume it works as expected.Hopefully this balances out the large number of negative reviews early on and helps others get a great keyboard.

Hardware is great, Software needs work.
The keyboard looks fantastic and feels amazing to type on. The key switches provide a satisfying tactile experience, and the build quality feels solid. While the keyboard has some heft to it, this only adds to its premium feel in my opinion. The RGB lighting is a great touch, offering various settings to customize the look to your preference. I also love the customizable buttons, which add a lot of flexibility. However, I’m still unsure about the oversized “Super Buttons” that come with it—I don’t see myself using them often, but I’ll give them a try when the right situation comes up.One aspect I wish were different is the layout. I’m used to having a numpad on the right side, so the shorter design is an adjustment for me. That said, I’m looking forward to getting used to it.Battery life is another highlight. It’s rechargeable and reportedly lasts a long time, which is a big plus. However, the software could use some improvements. The interface appears to be in Chinese (or another language), and some of the wording choices—like saying “SURE” instead of “YES”—gave me a good laugh. It’s functional, but I hope for better localization in future updates.Lastly, I wish the matching mouse had been bundled with the keyboard. I’m not used to spending so much on keyboards or a mouse but after getting it in my hands I am starting to see the value. I now have the mouse pre-ordered.Overall, I’m very happy with this keyboard and I’m glad I made the purchase. It’s a high-quality, stylish addition to my setup with only a few minor drawbacks.

Great keyboard but weird software
It's a really nice feeling keyboard but the software for it is a little funky and you have to extract it to a drive that doesn't have your os on it

Horrible software
The keyboard itself is very nice and felt very well built, but I did return it. I waited a while for this to come out, and when I received it, I was extremely disappointed with the horrible software. It wouldn't launch 9/10 times, and was also causing the volume on my PC to be at what felt like 1000%, to the point where I was worried my headphones were going to be damaged. More of a personal thing, but you also basically cannot read the keys in the dark with the back lights on. All you see is the plus from the key cap stem.

Awesome
Love the theme. Keyboard feels solid and has plenty of customisation. The RGB doesn’t come through the key caps as well as other keyboard. The original switches were pretty noisy so I swapped them to quieter ones.
