Great workout! Movements tie directly to my BJJ game.
I loved the fact that movements tie directly into BJJ. I was away from BJJ for a long time; and I’m using this to help me get back in shape. This product is definitely great for beginners; but it could be used by grapplers who are at a more advanced level as well. You get out of every workout what you put into it.I’ll use this at home to warm up and get the blood flowing before working some technique on the grappling dummy on days when I can’t make it to class.Well worth the money!

Yes. This DVD is the real deal.Although, I have a daily work out routine I have to incorporate this dvd into my schedule. I tried the beginners level and i was grasping for aiHonestly, as a white belt in BJJ this will help with your movement and BJJ conditioning.

Exercises "FOR" BJJ (or general fitness)
Key Point: These are exercises FOR Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (or for general fitness, if you're out of shape and want some variety from the usual)... but there isn't much actual BJJ here.These exercises definitely would help white belts, or maybe out-of-shape blue belts if fitness isn't really your forte; but if you're a purple belt or higher and in good shape already, you probably don't need these, other than possibly for an individual trouble spots here or there, or possibly to use in warm-ups, etc., when you teach. Also, again, these videos are NOT BJJ, they are just exercises for BJJ similar to what you normally do in class warm-ups, but beyond that.Another reviewer mentioned lack of proper form in the demonstrations on these DVDs. While I would agree that the author/star is not exactly an Olympic gymnast, I didn't see this as a drawback. The exercises are straight-forward enough that you'll figure out how to perfect your form as you do them. The author definitely does deserve credit for his creativity in putting these routines together.Just set your expectations appropriately. These routines will benefit beginners and advanced beginners (White Belts of whatever stripe) much moreso than they will for advanced guys who are already in shape for BJJ.Also, for someone interested in general fitness and just getting in shape, but who does NOT do Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, these routines would work fine too. There is no knowledge of BJJ required (though someone who is familiar with BJJ will recognize the moves), so yes, it works fine for a beginning fitness routine you can do at home or in a hotel room or wherever, if you just want to get in shape and want some variety from ordinary fitness routines.

Reference videos are informative. Great workout too!
I especially like the workout references that show and explain the bjj moves the exercises are for. I was surprised at how much I was sweating after the first beginner workout! The exercises are easy but wow what a great workout. I definitely recommend purchasing this program.

It's a great workout and it was a great idea having a space to show the usefulness of the movements for bjj. It has helped me a lot.

Disappointed
i was disappointed in this product as I had high expectations. First of all disc 1 did not work. Secondly, the exercises seem not properly executed. As a beginner to BJJ, I was hoping to see proper form. For example the alligator or bear crawl were not properly done. Neither was any of the push ups. I was hoping that I could use this to supplement my class time, but after viewing the second and three disc, I was not impressed. The product will be returned.

DVD 1 Beginner W\O does not the 2nd level of the 1st introduction. Goes blank to a tv screen, as over.I am sad, good couch, but. Moved on to intermediate now. I’ll see more of ? ? ? !

Easy to follow work out routines
Easy to follow work out routines, would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to know more about Brazilian ju jitsu and get in shape at the same time
